Embroidery is a calm meditative occupation, which can accompany any other types of leisure. Take the heads and colored threads, and the most ordinary evening in front of the TV will turn into an art therapy session.
Unfortunately, the long-term project itself can become a source of stress and experiences. There is an exit! Start acquaintance with embroidery with this kind of crafts as a sample or sampler. It is an example of various artistic seams made by colored threads. Samplers are often drawn up within the boundaries of certain figures. The example described below uses the heart.
For the project you will need:
- The chambers of the desired size;
- sewing needle or needle for embroidery;
- Threads "Moulin" 7 different colors;
- fabric or canvas;
- sharp scissors;
- thimble;
- iron;
- simple pencil;
- Scotch;
- filamentant
Making template for embroidery
The template can be found and print on the printer, and you can draw a simple pencil on paper. It is easiest to do this as follows. Place the template on the wrong side of the fabric or canvas, fixing in the corners of scotch tape or pins. Put on any transparent surface under which the light source is placed. It can be both a special device and a piece of glass with a lamp under it. We also translate the drawing on the window. The fabric is glued to the glass, and the drawing is translated by a soft pencil.
Fix the canvas or fabric with a drawing picture on the hoop. Try to choose the desired size so that the tension of the fabric is optimal.
There are already holes in Canva, and you will not need to spend your efforts on piercing. For fabric, use a thin needle with a big ear.
Start embroidery
Use the simplest seams, choosing for each other thread color. The first puncture is made from the wrong side of the fabric, and on it, it is strongly secured by the nodule at the end of the seam. Make sure that the nodule fits tightly to the fabric and does not face it. Cut the edge of the thread with scissors, because the tearing can damage the fabric.
If the thread during operation will be twisted, lower the needle freely down, so that it is spinning.
The next seam, which is used here, is called "forward needle." Make sure that all stitches are the same length.
To form a seam in the form of a chain, it is necessary to form a loop on the surface of the fabric, and then fix it with the next loop.
For the curly Christmas tree, place the side stitches at an angle of 45 degrees to the central seam.
The asterisks are embroidered over two crossbars.
Design of work
Embroidery can be inserted into the frame, or to use the flare themselves as the framing. In the latter case, excess cloth should be cut off. You can make a small pad from embroidery, sewing to the edge of the canvas as a piece of fabric.
