If your curtains are too short, you can lengthen them with your own hands - and often they will be even more interesting.
Curtains may not be long for different reasons. Perhaps we bought or sewed them without having to calculate the desired length. Or changed the cornice, and now the curtains have become short. Or the fabric of the village when washing, or we want to use the curtains for the room with higher ceilings, and so on.
Be that as it may, it is corrected: to lengthen the curtains by different methods. And in most cases, the appearance of the curtains will even benefit from it! Examples below.
1. Add loops from the fabric
If your curtains hang on the cornices on the rings, you can lengthen the curtains, replacing the rings on the loop of the fabric. The loop length should be such as to lower your curtains to the distance you need, while leaving the open top of the window. Make measurements: If your curtains, cornice and window allow you to use this method. For loops, you can take the remains of the same fabric - if you sewed curtains yourself and it remained with you, but it is optional. If you choose another cloth, harmonizing with the material of the curtains, then the loop not only lengthen them, but also become a decorative element.
2. Use to eliminate the bending curtains
Often, the curtain is quite wide niza bending. If you need to lengthen such curtains, you can use the bending. Write the seam, holding the bending, remove the threads and, if necessary, get rid of the tracks of the rifle seam on the fabric.
For this, it is good to moisten the material with hot steam, and then spend places with the traces of the seams by a dressing brush, trying not to damage the structure of the fabric. After once again, reveal the tissue through the path. Now the speed can be adjusted again, but already on a smaller width - accordingly, its length will increase.
3. Add a decorative braid below
Decorative braid or lace will not only help lengthen the curtains, but will decorate them. Pick up suitable materials - you can take a few varieties of braid, as in this example.
Save the bend, as described in paragraph 2.

4. Add a bottom with a suitable tissue
To lengthen the curtain, you can pick up a fabric that will be close in color, but, for example, it will differ in the texture. Such material will look like a decor, but the decor is discreet and minimalistic.
The width of the detail for the elongation will be equal to the width of the curtains + inserts on the seam of 1.3 cm. To calculate the height of the part, measure, for which length you need to increase the speed, multiply this value to 2 and add 1.3 cm for points from above. See the scheme above).

5. Add a strip from the appropriate fabric
By acting in the method described in the paragraph above, you can lengthen the curtains by adding the band not from the bottom, but from above.
6. Add a wide band below
You can also add a larger with a greater width by cutting up your curtains to the desired length.
7. Add a fabric in the middle, closer to the top or bottom of the curtains
To make such a rework, the curtains need to be cut on the horizontal line and the fog of the sides. Add the band the width desired from the suitable fabric, and then re-process the side edges.

8. Add stripes and from above, and below
Close curtains can be reduced from above, and below.
9. Make an asymmetrical increase from above and below
If you like asymmetry and the original approach, you can put one of the paired curtains from above, and another bottom. By the way, so one available to the sound can be turned into two.
