Of course, it is difficult to call it technically to be called knitting, but the final result is very similar to the knitted canvas, only hard and eternal. Today we offer you to update old pots, decorate glass or tin cans. The finished product can be a new home for indoor plants, a candlestick or a decorative jar for storing something. So, make pigtails from polymer clay!
Materials and tools:
- Polymer clay for crafts (one or more shades);
- bank or pot for decor;
- clay board;
- knife;
- Extruder for extruding smooth "macaroni" from clay (optional).
How to make pigtails from polymer clay: work
Approximate time: 40 min
Step 1. Preparation of clay.
To begin with, take a piece of clay and fright him well in your hands. Then roll a little and divide into equal parts. Parts should not be perfectly smooth and the same.
Step 2. Making pigtails.
Now take every piece of clay and roll it with your own hands. Carefully ride back and forth until you create long smooth "sausages" clay. Do not hurry and push easily. If you are aiming for perfectionism - use a special extruder to craft from clay, then strands will be perfectly smooth and the same. The best work with two clay strands at the same time to create pigtails. Two "sausages" fold in half and twist in opposite directions from each other.
Step 3. Attach the pigtails to the jar.
To secure each pigtail, simply disconnect the extra part on top and bottom to the bank. Clay must adhere to a tin can or pot. Make sure you attach the pigtails correctly, follow the pattern.
Step 4. Make Cart.
After you added pigtails over the entire surface of the bank, roll two more "sausages" and secure them from above and below. It will close the place where you pierced extra pigtails.
Step 5. Oven!
Now it remains to bake a finished product in the oven! Follow the instructions on the polymer clay packaging. Ready!
