Freezing paper is used in patchwork, to create applications. Probably in master classes you met in the required materials paper for freezing. This is a special paper, the reverse side of which is smooth. It is suitable for fabric just a smooth side. It holds on the fabric firmly, and if necessary, it is easily removed. You can use it repeatedly. You can buy such paper in foreign online stores. And it costs it is not suiced. Today we will create a budget analogue of such paper from affordable materials.
We will need:
- A4 paper (I took the "Snow Maiden", craft paper and thin type for copies in machinery),
- Food film,
- scissors,
- iron,
- 15 minutes.
Cost 1 sheet of format A4:
- Film Food roll 200 m - 45 rubles, 1 m. - 20 kopecks (about 4 sheets will enter 1 meter),
- Paper "Snow Maiden" - an average of 180 rubles per pack of 500 sheets, 1 sheet - 36 kopecks,
- Electricity (from us) - 2 rubles kW / hour.
Total: 1 sheet A4 = (0.2: 4) + 0.36 + some electricity = about 1 ruble.
Start!
We put a cotton fabric into a few layers on the table, rolling the rolling film to yourself on it.
From above On film We put the paper across, that is, horizontally. The fall does not reach the edges of the paper sheet approximately 1-2 cm. Sheets put close to each other. I used three different paper type density.
Iron exhibit in Cotton mode without a para ! I have an old iron for such purposes, which is no longer able to disappear. We start gently pressing the iron to the surface of the paper, trying not to touch the film at the edges.
Paper first wrinkles, in the photo you can see.
We continue to stroke it until its surface becomes smooth.
Let the paper cool a little, separate it from the surface of the fabric. The photo shows the coloring of the side of the paper, to which the film stuck, melting. All types of paper, the film adhesive is equally well.
Sheets cut together. Last leaf I do not cut off the roll of the film. The next time it is convenient to unwind the roll of the film for this sheet, but to store, winding it on the roll from above.
That's all! The drawing is applied to the "paper" side. A smooth side is placed on the fabric and affects. Such paper can be used to print templates on the printer, only correctly putting a "paper" side to apply the pattern.
