When you get out of the oven and warm things, they warm not only fingers and seem beautiful than it really is. Then you remember what beautiful they were, while they were sculpting them, and you realize that it is better not to think of nature anyway.
So we will paint in naturalistic colors.
We will need:
Paints (I acrylic)
Tassels (hard bristle for tinting, softer for a "dry brush" and completely thin just in case for small parts)
Palette, rags to wipe brushes, water
Just in case - cotton wands, toothpicks and lacquer removal fluid - if something goes wrong.
And the catulists themselves.
To begin with, it is possible to practice on the clay shards, maybe you have long been annoyed by the ugly flower pot, or disgusting solonka, well, or you never know.
First - toning. I, as you can see, iron azure. It looks good in a dark brown, someone prefers purple or black. Experiment that you like it. All paints behave differently. We take a rigid bristle brush and liquid-religious water. We absorb a brush more blue clad and plump it into the drawing, trying to hurt all the recesses. Here you have to catch the desired degree of Gizhin - when the brush touches the clay, the paint itself runs to all grooves-grooves, ahead of the brush, and it should have a sufficient number of pigments. It would come soon, perhaps to practice slightly.
As soon as they painted - we take a rag, wetting and erased paint so that it remains in deepening. If you were distracted and it happened that the paint is already cut and not washed with water, you have to rub the lacquer with a liquid. The effect will be the same. So toning on both sides, do not forget about the end.
Already beautiful, sometimes this stage all the processing of ceramics is completed.
But we go further. We interfere with a green pleasant shade, we take softer softer and slam it on the palette, so that the paint dries. The point is not to put the green paint in the recess. There should be blue shadows. Therefore, carefully paint the leaves with a dry brush, not allowing the paint to check in the recess. If somewhere the hand shook, you can try to immediately clean the groove with a toothpick, if in any way, then you can and on top there will be another time to push the liquid blue paint there.
When all the leaves are discounted, mix the yellow and somewhere to put the glare.
In principle, the process can get closer to infinity, I also like to walk with a very liquid Mars, and maybe not liquid ...
I still fry my suspension slightly in the oven, so that the better fixed, and then cover the lacquer. What is optional.
Finally, recommendations. First, I try to choose paints, opaque. Who is not in the know - transparency is indicated next to the light-resistance, black square means the cut opaque paint.
Secondly, as you noticed, I have pity for my pity, and yours are also bothering, if ceramics (read - bricks) are painted with them. Therefore, good, dear brushes move for more delicate projects. And thirdly, this is a toning acrylic, but in general you can, even a gouache, at least bitumen varnish. Only behave not only different paints by type, but also different pigments in different ways, because - first try and look at the result. And show us!
