Richard Siini is an English artist who combines the disciplines of sculptures, crafts, design and photography. It uses mainly a ruler and cutter for bending, flexing and gluing its complex and exciting paper sculptures. "Paper is the material that I like best, and it underlies my practice for many years. It is important for me that I can manually manipulate the material; I work best when I can react to material with a tactful way, and I use it as a way to detect new forms: paper is great for this approach. Paper cannot be forced to certain forms, I have to sympathize with its limits, so I feel that the paper leads me to the opening of sculptural forms. "
