But to the beach still need to walk in something, something light and pleasant body just throw on a swimsuit. One of the most comfortable items of beachwear is a light tunic. Sew this model will be able to all, even if you have only a sewing machine! I sewed this tunic in an hour, I think the newcomer will hide too quickly!
We need:
- 3 meters of any light fabric: sew, poplin, staple, chiffon, slim knitwear. I have a chiffon with a bright print. Width of fabric 150cm
- Overlock or sewing machine
- Scissors, chalk, meter, thread
The tunic will be very free, boldly put her size nosize, well, or in Russian 40-68. You can wear on one shoulder, you can two (see photo).
Beach tunic in the floor pattern
The length of the tunic optionally can do shorter. In this case, the fusion consumption = two lengths of the product. I have a tunic length 150cm, the flow of tissue, respectively, 300cm = 3 meters.
Fabric fold in half to get a square 150cm x 150cm. We carry the chalk diagram to the fabric, you should get one large part with a fold. Of the excess bands of the fabric we will make a belt.
We curly cut the neck, it will significantly simplify us further processing.
We curl the straight corners of the armpits, it will be easier to make seam.
We fold the part of the face inside and sew two single side seams. We use a straight line and then process a cut on overlock or zigzag on a typewriter so as not to feel.
We process all open cuts with roller cruise stitching seam on overlock or a dense and wide zigzag. Read more about processing - in the next paragraph.
If there is no overlock - it does not matter at all. Compare, in the photo on the left of the stimpleting roller seam of overlock, and on the right - a dense zigzag on the sewing machine. Settings put the following: Stitch length 0.2-0.5mm, maximum width (I have 4mm). And you will have a chic tight stitch, exciting and fearing the edge of the fabric.
Tunic is ready, sew the belt! Two stripes sew together. We put along in half a face inside and sew all sections, leaving an open plot of 3 cm. Soak, irrigate. Tunique is also rejected by side and shoulder seams.
