We need:
- Form for the future vase;
- Newspapers;
- White paper;
- PVA glue;
- Disposable gloves;
- Polyethylene film;
- Gouache;
- Glossy coating lacquer;
- Tassels for gouache and varnish.
1. Preparatory stage.
Prepare a form for the future vase. If you choose a form with a smooth surface, it will work easier. Outside the form is fastened with polyethylene in order to, remove the vase from the form, do not damage either the future vase or the form itself.
Dilm PVA glue with water in a 1: 3 ratio. To break the newspapers for small segments (small pieces of newspapers will make the surface of the vase more smooth, and large rectangular segments will significantly speed up the work). The number of newspapers you need depends on the size of your vase and the desired wall thickness.
2. Production of a vase.
For this stage of work, one-time gloves will be used. The lowering segments of the newspapers in the water diluted with water, gently impose them on the outer side of the form (I remind you that it is pre-shapeing it is necessary to cover it with polyethylene). Segments apply in a circle. When the first ball will be ready, you can give him some time to dry, or continue to work, the ball behind the ball overlapping newspaper segments. For the best result and strength of the finished product, newspaper segments are better to apply in 8 layers.
The drying process depends on the number of layers and can take from two to four days.
When the vase snacks, you should carefully remove the shape from it. To prepare a vase to decorating, it must be placed in small pieces of white paper into several layers outside and inside. For gluing white paper, use the same way as when gluing newspapers. Was covered with white paper to leave another day.
3. Decorating vase.
The decor of your vase depends only on your imagination. We offer to cover the finished vase with patterns with the help of ordinary guaishes. Why gouache, not watercolor paint? Everything is simple. Watercolor paints will give a softer picture, as watercolor paints are more transparent. And the gouache has a more dense consistency, which gives a brighter and clear drawing.
It is important to determine which drawing you want to apply, and whether you want to apply it only outside or on the outside and on the inner side. The drawing is better to pre-apply a pencil. And then according to the contour draw it with the help of gouache and a thin brush. The drawing will dry about 1-2 hours.
4. Ready and fully dried vase for comfortable use is desirable to cover with varnish.
Glossy varnish will look great on the finished product. If you plan to use food vase with food, then the coating varnish should be signed in stores for creativity. If your vase is in contact with the products will not be, then the usual universal varnish is suitable, which can be bought in a construction store (besides, such a varnish will cost you much cheaper). Cover the finished product with varnish from all sides and leave in a ventilated room 5 hours until complete drying.
