The first frosts began to grab puddles. From the city streets, together with the violence of the colors of foliage, how the wind blew blown in the rods of citizens. Whether in the heritage of times and habits, whether following the inner foreboding of winter, we gradually add in gray, black, cloudy jackets, boots ... And here - flashed in a dense wall of the black spin, a tricky brooch, a bright scarf, a juicy takes - and certainly The eye snatched, consciousness on a moment clung, sliding smile - and this is already a lot!
Today I will show how to bring a piece of individuality into your usual wardrobe on the example of the painting of the leather jacket in the form of an air snowflake.
In this master class, the snowflakes drawing itself will not be considered in detail - its step-by-step video for those who are interested in is in my friend master class. And here I want to affect such important moments as:
Preparation of a leather surface to painting; transfer of a geometric pattern to the surface of a complex shape; the principle of painting on clothes; fixing the contour painting on clothes. And we have - a jacket made of genuine leather, a view from the back, and sprinkling its scratch. The skin itself is a fertile material for painting in terms of clutch with paint due to its porous structure. But in a large percentage of cases, the surface of the leather products is covered with a thick layer of all sorts of paints, impregnations and so on. These compositions serve to protect the surface from penetrating moisture, dirt, and this also applies to the paints. Therefore, before starting work, the surface of the jacket (bags, boots and so on) need to be cleaned as much as possible from contamination and external coatings. Available and fairly universal means for this action can be called alcohol. After cleaning with ordinary water, we wipe the intended place of the painting with alcohol.
* Attention! The quality of the skin, the paints are different! Try first on a small invisible piece! Unstable proscure you can wash off and the turbid stain will remain with divorces. And then it happens that we wipe the "skin", and it turns on the top layer in the tube or halter under your watch!
With fabric surfaces, it's easier - just bring cleanliness before painting.
We define where exactly the drawing on the product will be located. When working with objects such as clothing, shoes, bags, we try to choose the location of the painting so that it is minimal to enter the seams. The seams are less elastic, the painting can breed on them and in general it looks not so aesthetically. Therefore, I decided to start the drawing along the neck, the seam on the shoulder, then along the arm of the sleeve and the back of the twist. Only partially one seam on the back falls on the back - but it does not go anywhere, otherwise the painting will not close the scratch (see the first photo)
To transfer the markup mesh to the jacket, we use a simple reception with chalk. After determining the area of painting, we transfer our mesh-markup to the jacket. We paint the back of the sheet with a marking chalk of the color that will be clearly visible on a dark jacket - I have a piece of yellow. Excess chalk flow or can be slightly walking with a dry soft wide brush, brushing grains.
Jacket straighten, it is better to put a flat object under it, I took a piece of cardboard. I turn over and put the leaf on the jacket. You can fix it with pieces of painting tape, I just stick with my hand. On the markup lines, we carry out without a strong push with a pencil or gel handle.
Remove a neat paper sheet to not lubricate the transferred lines.
Working with these chalk lines is not so convenient, and the extra chalk around will interfere. Therefore, duplicate all lines of marking gel handle light color - silver, gold, white.
Attention! Not all gel pens are the same! Try on a small invisible area - draw a handle, and after a day, try to erase with a wet napkin - it must be emitted without a trace!
After that, a wet cloth, wet cotton wanders and cotton chopsticks we maximally remove all the chalk. The lines from the handle try not to touch, otherwise they will also erase.
Now we make a snowflake pattern. The snowflake pattern is created on the basis of the resulting milling grid. Due to the presence of marking cells, we have the opportunity to easily enter the duplicate elements in shape and size. But now, on the contrary, the diagram of the drawing itself will be drawn already on the jacket itself, since when transferring a large number of small parts that should be the same, the likelihood of them to distort them. It offers a wide scope for a flight of fantasy. (Before painting serious things, I do a pattern, a scheme, color, and so on on other subjects - for example, in the lower right corner of the frame - a diary).
When the pattern is drawn up with paints paints. I worked as acrylic contours of different firms, mostly Tair and Decola - both on glass and ceramics and tissue.
After applying the contours, leave the drawing for a day to dry. After a day, with the help of wet napkins, sticks and disks, we remove the residues of the markings with gel handle and chalk. Leave to dry another day.
Now the painting must be fixed, because the jacket is not a picture, it will wear, deform, straw, fall under the rain, to do and clean.
First we bake the drawing with an iron. We put on the painting a piece of fabric without a pile, I use x / b remain from the fabric from which the diapers are sewn. At low temperature, without steam stroke every section for 5-10 minutes. All the time we raise the fabric and check that the paint does not enter it. We leave after the hot procedure everything should be cooled and lie down for another part. Then we protect the surface from bad weather and fans to relieve dots - vanish. I use only water based materials, so and varnishes choose the appropriate. The lacquer should be very elastic, so that from frequent flexion, crushing and the like in the process of operation did not crack and did not get off the stocking. It can be flexible lacquer from TuryDesign, lacquer for PROAK leather, and even ordinary acrylic urethane parquet varnish. I only call what he worked personally, and that well showed himself in practice.
Varnish necessarily put a very thin layer, a flat synthetic brush, kicking out another dry brush all extra chapels around the dots. You need 2-3 thin layers with a thorough dryer between them. After each layer, we check on flexibility and elasticity painted place.
Our update is ready! I personally suspect that with such a method, the breathable properties of the skin are lost - possibly. Therefore, I would probably have not decided on a dense painting of the entire surface of the jacket in this way, but as an option to hide the "injury" or refresh the thing a bright accent - quite! Well, wallet bags and other women's need for this method can be decorated safe.
