When moving to a new apartment, we got the problem - the liner of the walls of the wallpaper. Wallpaper has not yet demanded a complete replacement, but the joints in many places have become quite noticeable. I thought it would not be difficult for us, since we used the various specialized adhesives for wallpaper joints in the old apartment.
But here everything turned out to be much more difficult. We tried to apply glue on dry, on a wet wallpaper, but nothing worked. Glue right in front of the eyes absorbed not clear where and disappeared. I already wanted to even try glue moment, but here I unexpectedly remembered that a hot method of sticking napkins is used in decoupage. And, Eureka! I got it. I will tell in stages.
2. That's how the joints looked.
3. First wet the wallpaper with water and wipe the excess moisture. We give the wallpaper slightly wet within 5 minutes.
4. Then from the tube squeeze the glue under the wallpaper.
5. Tassel gently distribute glue and remove excess with the outer surface of the wallpaper.
6. Butt stuck with molar scotch and leave to dry out a few hours before complete drying. In the photo it can be seen that the seams still diverge even under scotch.
7. After a complete dryer (here I have already photographed in the evening, so the color of the wallpaper has changed in the photo) heating the iron without a steam and spend the iron several times (even the tip of the iron is sufficient) on the junction up and down.
8. For clarity, I specifically switched only the lower part of the junction so that the difference was visible. The jokes are instantly perfectly glued under the action of high temperature.
9. Here is a joint after a complete strengthening of the iron.
10. It remains to carefully remove the scotch, holding the wallpaper with the other hand.
11. The perfect junction is ready.
