When you change the outlet to a new one, there is a possibility that it will have to install it for short wires. Especially important is for old houses, where Soviet outlets could still remain - real relics of the past. A genuine problem lies in the fact that fragile aluminum wires were often used in Soviet homes.
Preparation for work

If only two short wires remain in the wall in place for a socket, then install a new modern outlet can be a real challenge. In fact, this is not so difficult for a knowledgeable person. To solve the problem, you will need two WAGO terminals, a set of heat shrink tubes, two copper or aluminum wires with a quadrature of at least 1.5 sq.mm. By itself, you will need a new outlet.
The process of setting the outlet

We begin, of course, with the disconnection of electricity in the house. After that, we determine the phase. You can make it a "transk" of the contacts of the socket using an indicator screwdriver. Check, thus, it is accurately disconnected in the apartment electricity. After that, you can unscrew the front panel and turn off the contacts of the old outlet.

So, the wires are increasing with the help of harvested terminals. The main rule is reduced to the fact that the minimum protruding area of the wire from the wall should be at least 2 cm. At the same time, 1 cm should be well cleaned and straightened. This can be done, including with a special hair dryer. It is necessary to work carefully, since the Soviet wires can easily crumble.
