Video Tutorial: Decorating Shoe Boxes

Today I want to show three options for decor of shoe boxes. With the help of paint and girlfriend (accessories, ribbons and ropes) boxes turn into stylish storage containers!

For the manufacture of "galvanized" boxes in the style of Provence you will need:

- two shoe boxes;

- artistic or acrylic soil (at the thin end, spread the white acrylic in half from PVA);

- gray acrylic paint of two shades, light and darker (or just add a black paint black as me);

- silver acrylic paint;

- a drop of red-brown acrylic - to imitate rust;

- a small piece of jute rope for the handles;

- a pair of small pieces of coarse flax, burlap or any other fabric with a rough weave of threads;

- Thin black marker, gel pen or black paint to draw the inscription on the fabric. Special paint on fabric is not needed, we will not wash it - quite ordinary acrylic.

For "industrial" boxes you will need:

- Two shoe boxes;

- adhesive gun;

- Black paint - I painted paint from the can, so faster everything, but can both acrylic;

- a drop of red-brown acrylic - to imitate rust;

- Gold paint for the stencil (you can and the other color, if for example the handles for the boxes you have silver or bronze, then take paint, respectively, or you can simply make white letters, it will also be beautiful)

- 4 handles for boxes and screws to them;

- Wooden ruler or flat Wooden rail - 4 piece slightly more width of your handles (it is needed, so that the screws are where to screw up, otherwise the handles can not be taken).

Unfortunately, during the filming, a detailed piece did not turn out, as I screwed the handles - you need to pre-make the fasteners pattern, as in the first version, and then on the box to do holes under the screws with a thick seer. Then with the inside glue a piece of the line and screw the screws into the ruler. In general, the mount depends certainly from what knobs you will use.

For a set of vintage "suitcases" you will need:

- three flat and wide boxes;

- artistic or acrylic soil;

- acrylic paint pastel colors (I have a gentle-turquoise, gray and cream);

- Dark tape (I took a brown brown taper);

- Thin permanent marker, gel pen or acrylic gold, sandy or other light color, to simulate a sewing line (optional). It was most convenient for me to draw an acrylic marker. Another good option, if there is a thin-handle-putty, it will make a white line, it will be especially beautiful if you take a black tape at the same time;

- Metallic color contour or contour to create pearls (I have Kreuil Perlen Pen). Special "pearls" contour is certainly better, because It turns out very realistic "bronze" rivets. But if not - you can do without it, the most fiscal option is to make "rivets" with a glue gun, as in the second version, and then paint acrylic from above.
