Embroidery of Vichy, or how else it is called chicken legs (Chicken Scratch), has recently received a huge splash of interest from the side of the needlewomen.
Embroidered on fabrics into a cage that is formed due to the interlacing of two colors - white and color. At the joints of the tissue cell strips are the most dark. Such a fabric in the United States received Gingham names (Gingham), and in France it is called Vichy.
Especially often such a cell you can see on men's shirts. Vichy cell size, by the way, happens different.
But now it will be about embroidery on the same fabric that is performed mainly by white threads, therefore, in addition to the chickest paws, it is also called a snow-fitting technique.

Materials are needed the simplest:

Thread I play in the needle so that there is a loop on the end.
I fix it for this loop. Fixing do not in the center of the square, and on the side.
I bring the thread into the center of the square and make straight stitches from the corners and the middle of the parties to the center - I get a little snowflake with 6 rays. Snowflakes I embroider in 4 threads.
Now the alternate broach under the radiant and above it, the fouling center of the snowflakes.
For the "right" Naviva (this is the name of this decorative seam) you need an odd number of rays, here even, therefore, once in every circle, at the beginning of the next row, I consider the order and two beams for one. The photo shows how I stretched the thread under the two rays, and then I already make alternation through one.
For big snowflakes, we exciting more fabrics, make the rays longer. On the long rays I make straight stitches from the corner into the angle of yellow square.
Alternating little and big snowflakes through a square, got a snowflake path of the desired length.
Next I work with squares at the top of the track. I pave direct stitches on the sides of the square clearly in the middle. I turn to the embroidery of 2 threads.
I pace 2 circles under the straight stitches.
Pluging the thread, turn to the next square, laying direct stitches only from three sides, the fourth already exists from the previous square. I pace the thread under stitches 2 times. I got to the big snowflakes and laying 3 stitches again, the fourth is part of her ray.
I make this pattern on both sides of the track.
You can stop at this, but I continue. I work one thread. It was first 4 threads, then 2, now 1. Fill the emptiness with a delicate tribal.
Starting with side straight stitches, making a loop.
I complete the embroidery of Bulgarian cross in one thread on the sides of the track. Embroidery is ready.
