"Ice" candles

Anonim

For all the time the needlework, I converted more than a hundred candles in different techniques)) and each was different, with different feelings invested in it, with its special mood. I will show some of your works from "Ice Candles"

These candles are made very simple, and the result pleases)

Mail wax, paraffin from old candles (what you have) neatly on slow fire (preferably on a steam bath) ... if you want to get colored candles, then dye using:

1) food dyes

2) Children's wax chalks for drawing (I'm a little pitch in the shaken paraffin, the more chips - the more intense color)

3) With the help of Guaasi (I personally did not try - but I can advise, as I painted a friend)

Choose an acceptable variant for you.

What I do next:

1) Lubricate the form where I will fill the candle or straining for washing dishes, either oil (so that the walls are not attached to the walls)

2) I split the ice - pieces of medium size (small - not good - such beautiful holes will not be visible, and not large - as the candle will be very fragile)

3) on a pencil / wand / anything binds in the middle of the thread (I have a dense thread from the construction store, or from the hosts that went to the melt) and omit one end in the mold ....

4) Lew Our "Potion". If you plan to decorate this candle, then consider that it is necessary to leave a flat place - without holes, respectively, we will just join the paraffin, turn it out (for quick effect, omit in the creep with cold water the bottom of our mold), then you pour ice (all and immediately, how much will fit) and pouring it from above paraffin

5) As soon as our candle freeze, gently turn over and drain the water (I'm a little shake with a candle so that everything breaks out to the droplet, otherwise it will interfere with the decoration of the candle) the candle at that moment easily slips out of the form.

6) If you want to flavory a candle - add a couple of drops of oil to your flavored candle (I add strawberries, vanilla, jasmine, lavender - depending on the design and color of the candle)

7) You can sprinkle sprinkles on top, when the candle was already flooded (until the moment of its full pouring) - it turns out very festively

8) decorate to your taste (decoupage, ribbons, beads, stucco)

I am often asked - and not toxicly still burning, and whether the stucco is melted and so on. I answer everyone immediately and in advance:

1) I choose the shape thoroughly (that is, the large diameter), and then the candle is melted inside the cup

2) I try to place the stucco not at the very wick itself and usually (if it fell to it and the candle is not fat) stucco does not begin to burn, but just hanging out (since it is heavier than thin walls of the burning candle)

3) Such candles are more interior, and, personally, I do not rises to burn them

Thanks for attention
