Coloring canvas at home: Coffee with cinnamon and black tea | Fair Masters - Handmade, Handmade

Somehow on one embroidery portal announced a competition on the topic "Vintage Summer". The main condition for participation was used for embroidery vintage canvas. Many participants have a question: "What can be used to use for work?" Many, including me, decided to color the canvas in order to obtain the necessary effect of making fabric and the necessary shade.

Today I want to share several ways to dyeing the canvas at home.

Coffee and cinnamon.

For work, we will need the following materials:

  • Kanva of any counting or monophonic fusion - 1 cut;
  • Ground coffee (can use soluble coffee) - 3-4 table. spoons;
  • Hammer cinnamon - 1 bag;
  • Water is 1.5 liters.

So, we take a pure white canvas, I used AIDA 16, the size of 30x40 cm, and begin to squeeze it into the lumps. In order for the fabric to appear a clearer drawing, the canvas must be tied with a rope. Then the marble pattern is formed on the fabric, the intensity of which will depend on your preferences.

I did not bandage this fabric, because I needed a uniformly scratched fabric with the imputations of a darker shade.

Then take the saucepan, fill it with water and put on fire. Water boiled, and we remove it from the fire, put it in hot water with ground coffee. 3-4 tablespoons per 1.5 liters of water. The proportion can be changed depending on what shade we want to get. Instant coffee can also be used, but the product will purchase mustard shades, from weak to saturated, depending on the tissue soaking time.

By time, for more saturated color, it is necessary to keep the canvas in a solution for at least 10 minutes.

We take out the fabric and press it, not allocating.

Then we get a ground cinnamon in another saucepan with hot water. It will not dissolve, but simply paint water. We place the tissue into a cinnamon solution and withstand another 7-8 minutes. Get out. Cinnamon will remain on the fabric, it looks like fine sand. We rub this sand on the fabric, in the chaotic direction. Crapson grains penetrate between fibers of the fabric and will remain there, cinnamon will give the product soft color cocoa with milk.

We wash unnecessary, just do not barge the product, namely, wash off the extra bitches. And press. Then drying and stroking fabric iron.

That's what we did. Thus, at home, we made a vintage, a slightly dumb tissue with a completely new canvas. Now this canvas is ready to work.

On this painted canva, I embroidered the design of SASEY BUONAUGURIO, her confectionery sampler, which I called the "dream of a sweet tooth".

Selection of threads independent. In the design, I used rhinestones and sharmic in a confectionery topic.

Black tea.

If you barely transfer the aroma of coffee and cinnamon, that is, another way to achieve a similar result, but with the help of black tea.

For work, we will need the following materials:

  • Kanva of any counting or monophonic fusion - 1 cut;
  • The leaves of black tea - the amount is determined, taking into account how intensive shade you want to get.
  • Cut off the twine or any other rope;
  • Water - 1.5 liters

For staining of the fabric with black tea, we will need a saucepan with water and a small cut of the twine or thread.

We lay out our fabric on the table and sprinkled with black tea leaves. If you want to get intense color, then sprinkle generously. In places where the fabric will touch the tea leaves, the processes will be more intense.

Then we turn our precious cloth into the roll and tie to threads. Like this:

Water in Castblock is given to a boil and immerse our fabric. We are waiting for about 10 minutes. If you want to get a darker color, just wait more.

We take out the fabric, press, consider the tea leaves unnecessary to us. Lightly rinse our fabric (the color is lightly pale), we dry and stroke.

Everything, fabric is ready to work.
