Fans of knitting small toys amigurums often need to divide a thick yarn for several threads.
I want to share with you my method.
It does not always have a number of assistant who will help to brush the second tangle, and constantly challenge the tangle pin and unwind the thread occupation for patient!
So, if you have a thick yarn of suitable color, but does not suit your thickness, it can always be rewinded, dividing the existing thread into two or three (of course, provided that our yarn is multi-infinite and not fluffy).
I needed a yarn for the hook number 1 beige. In stock The suitable color was found only by the jeans of Yarnart (55% cotton, 45% acrylic; 50g. / 160m.), But its thickness was twice as thicker than I needed to knit my women Yaga:
In order to unwind the tank, we will need:
1. The yarn itself, which needs to be divided, I have it - jeans (note that it is twisted of four thin threads).
2. Bushing from food film or foil.
3. Stationery.
4. Polyethylene bag.
Sequence of work:
1. Place the tangle yarn into the bag.
2. Leave a thread sticking out of it.
3. Tie the top of the bag with a rubber band. Use attention, you must tighten the bag with a rubber band pretty tightly, so that the thread has stretched out of it with a little effort, that is, if you take the yarn for the tip, it will hang and will not be randomly stretched out.
4. Divide the end of yarn sticking out of the bag for the desired amount of threads - 2-3 (I have 2) and winding them on the sleeve at a sufficient distance from each other.
5. Start opening the saukee, hovering the bag with yarn in the air so that it spins freely (because the threads in the yarn are twisted with each other, the rotation of the bag will occur spontaneously). It is best to do it standing or sitting on a high chair. Thread the threads with thumbs from the inside, twist the sleeve from ourselves, winding the separated thread into separate motches.
In the course of this procedure, the thread in the bag can get confused, there is nothing terrible in this, you just need to do a small hole at the top of the bag, remove the tangle, unravel the thread and put the tangle back into the bag. The hole in the bag does not prevent the unwinding process.
The process of separation of yarn, of course, is unprecedented, but this method helps to cope with it alone and not to challenge constantly tangle pins to unwind the thread, as usual usually.
After the tangle is operated, you just need to wind the hollow threads from the sleeve. So we have a thick yarn from one meama with thin.
