Sometimes to find a creative idea, you just need to turn the subject. Thus, you can see it completely on the other hand, open a new perspective, pay attention to small details. When you turn the basket with legs on the head, suddenly it turns out of an ordinary, everyday object in something unusual and beautiful and you understand how to make a lampshade of this wicker basket.
Required materials for our project:
- Wicker basket
- Normal fastening for lampshar (you can use a cheap lamp shade to remove these details)
- scissors
How to make a lampshade yourself, proceed:
1. Cut a square hole at the bottom of the basket. The hole should be in the center and sufficient in size to cover the cord through it.
2. Secure metal rods in the hole to make it durable.
3. The hole should be quite small to the lamp-fastening ring be hidden, and the basket was located on it.
4. Make sure the light is turned off. Unscrew the light and remove the old lamp.
5. Stretch the cord through the hole in your basket.
6. Secure the cord with the cartridge in the lamp by the attachment. Secure the lampshade on the spot.
7. Next, align the lampshade and screw the light bulb back.
The interlacing of this basket is quite dense, so the lampshade passes quite a bit of light, but quite enough for evening tea drinking and cozy gatherings. If you want more light, you need to choose a basket with a rare weaving.
Now you know what the wicker basket can still come in handy and how to make a lampshade itself.
