Such a rug is sewn from the cord, wrapped by strips of fabric.
For such a rug, anyone is not too thick, dense or volumetric fabric, whose sections are supreme. You can take the flaps of several harmonious colors, assemble a rug made of strips of monochrome tissue or pressed. As the basis, we need a linen rope or a wicker cord with a diameter of 0.6-0.7 cm. The base should not be too rigid and coarse, as it has to be stitched by car. Easy the process can use the needle for denim.
You will need:
- Lower rope or other similar cord;
- one or more types of fabric;
- line;
- scissors or role knife;
- Sewing machine, needle for denim and thread.
STEP 1
Cut the cloth with strips of 5 cm wide. Strips can be of different lengths, it is not necessary to sew them. Take the cord and start wrapping it one of the fabric strips, as shown in the photo above. When 10-15 cm turns around, place the wrapped piece of the cord under the needle of the machine. Choose a simple line from the largest stitch length and laid the line for several centimeters in the center of the cord, locking the fabric.
Continue to wrap the cord with cloth without removing it from under the needle, and gradually continue the line. The finishing band of the fabric is hiding under the start of the new one. If the cord is run out, just invest the beginning of a new cord so that it docile with the end of the previous one, without overlapping it (it will not get thickened), and continue to wrap the design with a cloth. The line then secure this joint. Depending on the size of the rug you need, make it 3-5 m wounded base cloth. Step 2.
Now the prepared strip must be connected to the spiral. Roll down the wrapped base cloth in a circle clockwise. Select Zigzag - starting from the center, lay the seam in a circle, gradually adding and fixing new turns.
If you want to make a big carpet, you will need a free working surface on the left - the carpet comes out quite rigid. Continue until you get a rug of the size you need.
To complete the work, cut the cord-base, wrap its tissue strip, cut the unnecessary tissue and fix the end on the machine.
If the carpet turned out to be a little wavy, sprinkle it with water from the spray, shiver through the fabric and let dry.
