In our opinion, the most reliable and practical way of making slopes is their plaster. The basis for such an approval is the fact that the plaster monolithically fills all the slots and cracks, additionally creates waterproofing of the window mounting window, in addition, the plastered slopes create additional sound insulation of the room, as well as strengthen the window frame in the opening. At the same time, the coating of window and door slopes can be made by different types of solutions. The type of solution depends on the location of the slope (inside or outside the house) and from the humidity of the room. If the solution is intended for the facade or for rooms with high humidity (bathroom, winter garden, swimming pool, etc.), then it must be mandatory on a cement basis. For internal work, plaster on a plaster basis is suitable.
Technology plaster slopes
Like all plaster works, the plaster of slopes should be started from the preparation of the surface, it is necessary to dismantle the old plaster, decorative panels, the remains of old paint, etc. After that, it is necessary to thoroughly treat the surface of the primer and thoroughly flush the window and the frame with protective film. Preparation should be carried out immediately in front of plastering, and not a few days before the start of work, since the slopes during this time can again be dreamed, especially in the conditions of repair.
After the slopes are prepared for the plaster, you need to take even strips (the rule, you can "wide" profile, etc.) and consolidate them on the sides of the window passage (you can fasten with self-reversals, navigate a dowel-nail or "torture" solution) so So that they performed the role of lighthouses. At the same time, their position will depend on what succeed we have conceived to do: straight or deployed. In the first case, we should attach a square to the lower edge of the window profile and make a label (at the same time, our angle must be twisted for 2-3 mm. For convenience of mounting a painting corner), and then install and secure the prepared "bar" 1 . In the second case, our labels will be shifted to the left or right from the window by about 2-5 cm, as you want; After that, on these labels, we set our "strips".
Now we need to make a template2 that we will pull our slope. To do this, take a piece of plywood, rules, plasterboard (which is at hand) is the longer width of our Sit Santimeters for five. We apply a template, but not to the edge of the window profile, but retreat 0.5 cm from the edge, and the label along the edge of the stroke. Now we cut the space by 1-1.5 cm. To the left of the label of the template inland (this distance is determined by the distance from the glass to the edge of the window profile). The right remains to the tooth, which will rest in the Strapik, and our template will give a layer that is on the frame, exactly 0.5 cm.
After that, with a clean conscience, we throw a plastering solution on the slope, then stretch our template on the "bar" and a window profile, excessively removed. I do not advise much to put pressure on the template so as not to damage the window.
The top slope is made similar to the side. True, if the layer of plaster is large, it is better to apply it several times, pre-waiting for the hardening of the previous layer, otherwise the plaster can fall off.
During the whole process, you can do without a "strip" (rules) if you use paint corners, which are exposed to the angle instead of the rule, and when they dry well - stretch out as a rule.
The upper and lower corners, after hardening the plastered slopes, we throw and tighten along the plane, as the template does not reach there.
After drying, paint works can be carried out with an excavated slope, namely the installation of paint corners, shtlocking, painting, whose sequence was described in detail in the article "Slopes from Hypzarton".
In the old Foundation and country houses, semicircular windows are often found, the plaster works of slopes in such cases are carried out according to the template drank from plywood with an electroll bison. The template should be cut in such a way that he definitely repeats the contour of the upper slope, this work is very painstaking and requires high mastery, so it is better to turn to professionals with experience of such work.
