Origami is an ancient Chinese technique folding the bizarre figures of their paper sheets, which is very popular and today. Most modern Origamist artists prefer to create their works from standard, or very large paper sheets, which often produce an indelible impression on the ordinary artists.

In a different other way, Nurse Anna Markevich (Anja Markeiewicz) went, which uses in his works exclusively microscopic paper materials, the dimensions of which do not exceed 18 × 18 mm.

Anna Markevich presented the life of a multitude of paper birds, dogs, horses and other animals, which easily fit at the tip of her motherhood, and require their close attention of magnifying glass, without which it is almost impossible to see the inhabitants of a paper nano-zoo.

Anna Markevich creates amazing origami, the distinguishing features of which are tiny sizes.

Anna works with paper on a technique developed by the artist 23-year-old artist Mui-Ling Tay ( Mui-Ling Teh ), allowing you to add figures from paper sheets of almost any size.

Nano-boat (3x3 mm), for the creation of which the MUE-Ling Tay took 1.5 months

"I began to fold origami in April 2008. Once I cut out the workpiece from paper, asking not paying special attention to its size, and began to fold the caravel. When the work was completed, I realized that the figure turned out to be some kind of wrong. It seems that the crane was all on the spot: and the beak and wings, but the dimensions were such microscopic that I could hardly see individual details related to an unknown animal to the class of feathered animals, "says Mui Ling Tey. - In consequence, Zhuravl received the name "fingers born" ( Born From Fingers. ), and marked the beginning of a whole series of miniature work.

The technique of folding tiny paper sheets is radically different from the standard: it is more complex, painstaking and requires the use of special tools.

To create one such origami, I leave from two hours, up to several weeks. The time of operation increases in proportion to the decrease in the size of the figure.

So, my first crane I folded in just 2 hours, and for the creation of a nano-boat from a paper sheet with a size of 3x3 mm I took 1.5 months.

Basic and non-replaceable tools in my work - toothpicks, tweezers and magnifying glass .
