Create a summer mood - easy! With the help of the original and unusual decor: the wave-like stripes from a soft grid of different watercolor-pastel shades "foam" decorated the bottom of the skirt pencil.
In this master class, we will show another of the unusual ways to perform a volume decor.
Such a decor can be a large or minor volume, one-color or multicolor, it can be performed from completely different materials.
You will need:
- soft mesh of one or more colors (calculations of the compaction of the grid are presented in step 7);
- a piece of unnecessary fabric, for example, Bosi (it can then be used for other purposes), you can also use a cutting rug;
- Portnovsky pins;
- simple pencil or water soluble marker for fabric;
- line;
- scissors;
- threads in the color of the main fabric;
- needle.
STEP 1
In order to simplify the cut elements of the decor, we will mark the marking on the coal area: vertical lines on a width of 4 cm from each other. In this case, the finished elements of the decor will be 2 cm in width.
Step 2.
On the resulting template, impose a cut of a soft grid folded 4 times.
I folded 2 layers of the mesh along so that the fold is located on one of the longitudinal sides. So all the decor elements will be folded with one of the short sides.
Secure the grid on the template with the help of the portno pin.
Step 3.
Cut the grid on a strip of 4 cm wide, focusing on the transmission lines of the template.
Step 4.
With the help of the portno pin to learn 4 layers of each of the obtained decor elements.
Step 5.
Pour the line in the middle of each strip.
For a reference point, you can apply temporary marking with a pencil on the needle plate - 2 cm in both sides of the needle.
At the beginning and at the end of the line to perform the leaps.
One of the short sides of the detail with a fold.
Step 6.
Fold every detail along Poland along the laid stitch.
Referring the detail on the collar.
When setting, you can slightly delay the long cuts of the parts, then in the stationed state they will create the effect of the wave.
Thus prepare the details of all selected decor colors.
All parts can be the same length, then the circuit of the decor will be smooth, and can and different.
The strips of each color differ in length from 22 cm to 30 cm.
Step 7. Calculations of the compaction of the grid
The width of the front and rear panels of the skirts, which will be decorated, is 90 cm. The decor elements are installed at a distance of 0.5 cm.
90 / 0.5 = 180 details.
Total it is necessary to prepare 180 decor details.
We have 5 colors, so you need to carve out 36 parts of each color.
Details of each color differ in length:
- gray-blue - 30 cm;
- gray - 28 cm;
- blue - 26 cm;
- turquoise - 24 cm;
- Sand - 22 cm.
With a width of a mesh, 150 cm and the crop in two layers it turns out that 18 bands will be fitted in one width (150 cm / 2 additions / 4 cm = 18.75 cm). And each of the bands will be folded twice, i.e. we need 4 lengths of the bands of each color:
- gray-blue - 30 cm * 4 lengths = 120 cm;
- gray - 28 cm * 4 lengths = 112 cm;
- blue - 26 cm * 4 lengths = 104 cm;
- turquoise - 24 cm * 4 lengths = 96 cm;
- sand - 22 cm * 4 lengths = 88 cm.
It is better to take a grid with a small margin.
If you want to achieve soft color transitions in the finished decor, you can "mix colors" - when preparing the decor elements, lay the grid of two colors, then the parts are obtained by two-color.
Step 8.
Prepare a product for adjusting the decor.
I decorate a pencil skirt, so I first have become the side seams and handled the allowance. Rear seam I processes after the decor is executed.
It is also necessary to prepare the bottom of the product. I am turned it twice and the sole manually. Now it is necessary to start and notice the slice on a width of ~ 1.5 cm, as well as place the folding line with the help of hint stitches, chalk or water-soluble marker - we will focus on this line when adjusting the decor.
Step 9.
On the tunnel of the skirt we will apply several lines of marking, for which we will also focus.
Step 10. Decor execution
Focusing on the laid niza line and vertical chalk lines, press the first strip on the tunnel of the skirt, laying the line exactly along the previously fastened line.
The next element of the decor is touched on the cloth at a distance of 0.5-0.7 cm from the line of induction of the first element.
Thus, settling all decor elements.
If you decide to make items of decor of different colors or different lengths, then you need to decide in advance, in what order you will be pronounced. You can define a clear order that will be repeated. I decided to adjust the details in a chaotic order, but tried to keep the rhythm - so that long parts were located about the same distance from each other.
The distance between the configuration elements is 0.5-0.7 cm. When prolonged, it is convenient to navigate the width of the paw.
On the bottom, all decor elements are located on the same line.
Step 11.
After all the elements of the decor are still installed, it is necessary to adjust the bottom skirts on the nailed line and sunmate the locking stitches.
Decor ready!
To perform such a decor, you can choose not only the grid, but also, for example, the chiffon (at the same time, the strips are kept better in oblique), then the decor will turn out even more gentle and watercolor, but less voluminous.
And if you use a cotton fabric (strips also to carve out the scythe), then you can get an image in the style of boho.
It is possible to decorate in this way the bottom skirts or dresses, pockets, sleeves or shelves of jackets and bomber.
