In the summer it is so nice to relax in the shadow of the spreader branches of the tree. In order to make rest even more comfortable and pleasant, you can make it easily a comfortable bench around the tree with your own hands. Such a bench looks very original and perfectly fits into the landscape design of any site.
The most pleasant thing is that for the manufacture of such a bench do not need expensive materials, because its basis can be made of six old chairs and narrow wooden boards.
Before you start, remove the seats from the chairs and prepare the basis for staining with primer or special impregnation for wood processing.
Paint the chairs in any selected color, for example, in white and leave them to complete paint drying.
While the paint will dry, prepare wooden boards. Each board must be cropped at an angle of 60 degrees. Total will need 36 boards: 6 boards of different lengths. Carefully calculate the size of each board: To do this, measure the diameter of the selected tree and add 15 cm to it (for an adult tree) or 30 cm (for a young growing instance) and divide by 6 - it will be the length of the inner side of the side of the board. Each next board will be a few centimeters more than the previous one.
Attach short boards with bolts or screws to the base of the chairs, leaving a small gap, attach the following boards. Repeat this procedure until you attach all the boards for all 6 chairs.
Paint the seats of chairs and leave them to complete paint drying.
Before installing a bench around the tree, it is necessary to prepare the surface: it must be as smooth as possible, it will make it possible to install a bench around the tree without any problems. You can also align the bench, sticking separate legs into the soil.
The final stage of work is the connection of the parts of the bench among themselves.
The bench made with your own hands will not only be beautiful, but also the functional decoration of the site.
