Braided chair with her hands

Anonim

In today's project, we will manufacture a small braided chairs. This type of classes was very popular in the 1800s in many countries of the world. For example, in India, some villages still use weaving techniques for the manufacture of beds. This is quite a unique technique. The bed frame is traditionally made of wood, and it has four legs. Part of the bed, where you sleep, are made from ropes woven with each other.

Now proceed!

• Clamps 2 pcs. (I took the wooden, but you can use another material)

• Jute rope 2 pcs. (approximately 4 meters)

• Wooden frame (do yourself or buy ready-made in the furniture store).

(For self-making, the legs will need 2.4 meters long - aspect ratio of 1 × 4, 2.4 meters long-range lumps - aspect ratio of 2 × 4).

First you need to absorb the basis. To do this, take the shuttles and wrap the rope around them.

Now try tying a dead knot in the corner, then wrap the rope 5 times (from the beginning and every 5 revolutions around the crossbar, as shown in the image).

Insert the stick between the ropes as a separator. It will add the provisis when winding the rope.

Repeat this procedure until you reach the end and do not forget to make the last 5 revolutions for the cross.

Step 3: Completion of weaving

First, it is necessary to divide the wound ropes into several groups with sticks, as shown in the images. Repeat this procedure for the rear. Make 5 revolutions and the sixth around for crossbar.

Now count the odd number of ropes and divide with a stick. As you can see in the image you will receive odd-even cross lines. Take 5 revolutions again and repeat the procedure to the end.

Tie the latest rope with the hook.

The seat of this wicker stool has 17 rows and 17 columns.

I hope that such a weaving technique will not cause you difficulty.
