A simple straight silk dress that has long been hanging in a closet without a case, can find a completely new life if you alter it, for example, in the night shirt.
I often give a second chance to things that have lost their relevance, came out of fashion or just tired, sewing something else from them. This is especially true of those products that are sewn from good fabrics.
So one of my favorite summer dresses gained a new life, becoming a silk nightgown. And the alteration turned out to be minimal. I changed only the upper part of the dress, overlooking it on the pattern of the sundress, while the side seams and the bottom of the dress remained unchanged.
For alteration you will need:
✂ Pattern of simple sundress on thin straps (preferably without pulp);
✂ Cutting scissors for silk;
✂ Portnovsky chalk;
✂ Portnovo pins for thin tissues;
✂ Rulebook
