Master class on making wicker baskets (pot) from newspaper "Vines"
To work, you will need: scissors, cardboard, line, brush, bank (bottle), stack of newspapers, PVA glue, knitting needles 3-4 mm in diameter, hot gun (optional), acrylic white paint
In the process of manufacturing a basket, a simple weaving technique is used - "Rope".
Sequence of work:
1) Using a ruler divide the turn of the newspaper for long strips width 10 cm
2) take the needle or thick wire of the desired diameter and wrap the paper around, applying the needle slightly diagonally in relation to paper
3) The edge left after winding the entire newspaper strip is missing PVA glue
And fix, smuggling
4) the tube is obtained - the material for weaving, they need to prepare for at least 30 pieces
5) We take a jar or a bottle of the required size (optional) and copy the outlines of its bottom to the cardboard
6) Cut on the template 2 of the same circle
7) Cooking the cutters for the frame. Spindle one end of the tube as in photo 10, about 3 cm from the edge.
8) We applied glue to the cardboard circle and glue the newspaper "vine" with the contracted edges in a circle. It is necessary to distribute the tubes about the same distance from each other, for this it was made with knob on cardboard. The tubes diverge from the center radially. In this case, the glue was applied with the help of a hot pistol, which saves time significantly, but you can cross the bottom with the usual PVA glue (using the press).
9) We wist the second cardboard circle with glue on the contour and put on top of the workpiece
10) All tubes raise up and fix the rubber band - this is a frame base for weaving
11) We take a newspaper tube, flatten one end and try on the bottom as in the photo, then take glue and glit
12) The glued tube is started for the first nearest frame tube to the right so that it grabbed the frame outside
13) We bring the lot, moving further in a circle, clamp the second frame tube from the inside
14) Third frame tube clamping a vine outside
15) the fourth frame tube bypassed the vine from the inside
16) Thus, we produce the vine through the frame tubes alternately - outside, then from the inside completing the first row of weaving.
17) When the vine ends it splicing with a harvested tube, inserting one to another (screwed) as in the photo
18) Starting from the second row, insert a bottle (bank) into a frame blank and continue weaving on the same principle. The bank serves as a support for the design and greatly facilitates the work.
19) weave in a circle the remaining rows until it reaches the right height of the product
20) When the desired height is reached, we cut the edge of the vine for weaving by scissors, and we will make it inside the baskets gradually, reducing it
21) Gently fix the edge of the vine with glue
22) cutting the first frame tube to the right so that it remains the tail of about 3 cm from it, which is refilled in the "braided", pre-punctured
23) The next carcass tube is also cutting, we applied glue and refuel inward. Scissors will help gently push the edges of the tubes, without unnecessary chances.

25) With the help of brushes we apply to the inner surface of the basket acrylic paint. In this case, facade paint with a matte effect was used, which remained after the repair.
Baskets covered with glossy acrylic paint - look good.

27) cover the basket inside and outside the paint second time, we are waiting for a few minutes until it snacks
28) Painter the bottom of the basket through the third layer of paint, leave for a few minutes to dry.
29) basket - fully ready! Now it can be used in the decor at its discretion!
