No, this is not a huge amount of cats trying to crawl into the tiny frames and stuck in them with their face - these are wonderful realistic work of the Japanese talented artist and the needlewomen of Satomi Fujita (Fujita Satomi), perfectly mastered the felting of wool (or, as they call, "Felting" ).
Wool felting art allows you to create incredibly realistic animal sculptures, and given that cats are most like in Japan, it is not surprising that it was the cats that became the heroines of her creations.
