In the work corner of the craftswoman there are many practical and useful things that are works of art. These include a scissor cover, eliminating random injuries and allowing not to search the tool before work. Covers differ on the technique of fulfillment and design, but I liked this case with several departments - it allows you to store several pairs of scissors together, and it is quite simple to make it.
The cover for scissors is performed using the Origami technology, only we will not add paper, but a fabric.
To work, we will need:
- two rectangular pieces of cotton fabric with a bright pattern or coloring (the fabric should go well among themselves);
- dense tissue or synthesis for giving hardness to the product;
- threads;
- needle;
- scissors;
- Pins;
- decorative elements (flowers, etc.);
- sewing machine.
Before starting work, it is necessary to decide on the size of the product, measuring your scissors, and according to the size of the tool sizes of the fabric (the length of the piece should be slightly exceeded the length of the blades).
We decay the fabric layers, combining pieces: dense fabric, fabric with a pattern, monotonous fabric.
Fix around the perimeter by pins.
We flash around the perimeter by retreating 0.5 cm from the edge. On one of the sides it is necessary to leave a small hole.
Cut the corner.
Soak the product through the hole.
Carefully sewing a hole hitch.
Embroide the perimeter of our rectangle decorative seam. It is not necessary to use the same seam as in the example. Such decorative seams will look good as: a goat, Spanish double seam Christmas tree, various crosses.
Now we start to fold our case. To do this, put the product with the one-color side to yourself, and bend the sharp angle so that a triangle with a pattern is in the bottom. The smallest side of this triangle should be the basis of a small pink anose-free triangle - the tops of our cover. Fix the pin to our future pockets for scissors.
Now bend the upper single-color triangle down and fix the diagonal pin (along the decorative seam).
The remaining free corner bend up. Fix pockets in the center of the pin. The cover we collected, it remains to fix it.
To do this, we flash the unfinished edges with a marking seam.
Locked corners of pockets fix with decorative elements. You can use special glue, glue plastic flowers, as in this example, and you can simply sew beautiful beads, etc. The decoration of the sheculus cover is completely dependent on your imagination.
The cover for scissors is ready, it remains only to put "residents" in it.
Such a cover can not only decorate and streamline the working corner, but also come in handy on the journey, as it takes a little space, spacious and safe. You can give such a cover together with manicure scissors to a friend or relative. In any case, whatever use you have found him, such a cover will always be pleasant to take in hand.
