Watching the work of the masters, can unwittingly be asked: "How can I safely mix different colors and get completely new?" In fact, there is a long-in-invented color theory, and the crib in this case becomes a color circle. In the color of the color of the color circle, all colors visible in themselves. The color circle shows how colors are interconnected, and allows you to determine according to certain rules, harmonious combinations of these colors.

And in this master class, I will tell you how using only three colors of polymer clay, get such a diverse palette! Using this way you can win-win color, getting new shades!

How from three colors get all the colors of the rainbow

The main colors are yellow, red, blue. They belong to the colors of the first order, and it is these three colors that I put in the central part of the circle.

Of these, the colors of the second order are formed by pair-mixing.

Mixing the same mugs of blue and red and get dark purple. And I put this color on my color circle. Mix yellow and red, I got a rich orange color.

But that's not all! Mixing can be continued!

Similarly, the combination of colors of the first and second orders gives us the colors of the third order. So, mixing yellow and orange, I get a more sunny shade, and mixing orange with red, more fiery. Mixing red with purple, I get a burgundy, plum, and mixing purple with blue, dark lilac. Mixing green with blue I get emerald, and mixing green with yellow, salad.

I got twelve private color circle!

You saw that just three colors, I got all the shades of the rainbow! Mixing can continue further, getting all new and new shades. Such a table will help you remember the result, if you want to get some color again.

So on the question of which colors to purchase first of all, you now know the answer - red, blue and yellow!

White can be mixed with any color to obtain pastel shades.

Mixing white with red, I get pink, and adding more white to it, I get even more gentle pink color. And so on ... Thus, to your color circle, I added two more rows to show how these colors will behave when mixing with white.

As a result, I get a rich palette consisting of a variety of colors. And most importantly, it is clear how these colors get, and at any time you can look at the color circle and mix the shade you need.

I bake all the circles and insert them into the table so that the color circle is convenient to use in work. Then you can fill and cut it in a circle.

I recommend to each to complete such a prompt and use it in the laying of polymer clay. Because the colors on the screens of monitors can differ slightly from what these colors are actually.

Plus, such an exercise is developing understanding of color and color taste.

In the video you can see the whole process of working on the color circle, as I mixed colors, in more detail!
