Today we have a small lesson on how to transfer a photo on a wooden plank. The transfer process is very simple, you can go to them both yourself and with children.
You will need:
- Photo or any other image printed by a laser printer (it is better to use a black and white image, bright colors are not quite suitable for this task)
- Acrylic gel medium (you can buy on eBay or in an artistic store)
- Acrylic varnish (you can take a colorless furniture wax)
- Gel Tassel
- wooden plank suitable size
Instruction:
Step 1. Apply a gel on the surface of the tree. The gel layer should not be too thin, but not too thick. If the layer is too thick, it will be difficult for you to tear off the paper. Too thin layer - and paper simply will not stick, as a result of which the print is not imprinted on the tree. Therefore, you need to trace so that it turned out a good, smooth layer.
Step 2. Carefully put on our photo by image down on a tree. Then, using a ruler, roller, or any other suitable item, smoothed the surface of the photography, thus removing bubbles. air.
Step 3. We give photos well to dry, it is advisable to leave it for the night and trace so that no one touches this design!
Step 4. We remove paper from a tree. It is easiest to do this with a wet sponge or your own fingers, pre-very well inamuing paper with water. The entire process must be repeated several times and takes about 10-20 minutes.
Step 5. Optionally, you can make a little photo - for this you need to lose the edges of sandpaper to remove the remnants of the gel and cut the tree. Also, you can apply a thin layer of the drive so that the image is a little darkened, the drive should leave just a few seconds and erase it with a rag. In conclusion, cover the image with acrylic varnish or soft wax and let him dry. Ready!
