I recently ordered a dress in the style of the Middle Ages. But the embroidery on the dress decided to make it myself, for to order expensive and maybe it's not what you expect ...
Therefore, I embroidered this belt.
Its length is 2 meters.
And now about the difficulties I encountered, maybe my experience will be useful to someone.
And so, I thought for a long time how to translate the drawing on the fabric ... There are many ways in the network, but I thought why it was soared, I'll buy a copier for the Burda fabric ... I looked for a long time, I found, rushing home, printed .... And ... because I print ... First we do, then read the instructions.
And so, I decided to try on the corner of the fabric how he translates, spent the line ... nothing, again .... I took cotton, transfers ... But after all, a dress made of natural flax ... And this is not a smooth surface .... After all, it was necessary to read that this copy was not suitable for such fabrics, as in other times and many other ways.
Then I decided to do this difficult thing in the most difficult way.
In the book I found the desired patterns:
From here I took the final elements:
But the weaving itself from this page:
Then all this combined and prepared for a printout:
The stapler brought the pattern to the desired length, I got it 2 meters:
I took a tracker and took the whole drawing on it (the tracker is easier to leave with wetting) by the way went to this case 2 hours ...
Passed all this business pins:
And he wondered all this business by hand threads, as it is not convenient to lead such a pattern on the machine. It took another 5 hours ...
Start embroidery. The first couple of days with enthusiasm, and a week of embroidery for 3-5 hours a day.
I can say that it is hard, but the result pleased me, no braid or lace compares with manual embroidery.
Now I'm waiting for the dress to make embroidery on it.
