Collar on the shirt

The collar is one of the most important details on the shirt. You can make a beautifully prepared and sew pockets, cuffs, plano, but if you can't get a blank collar and spend it right on the product, then all your efforts on the shirt will not look properly. The ugly collar on the shirt can spoil her whole look.

In my article I will write and clearly show how to properly prepare the shirt collar on the rack on the example of uniform, police shirt.

In addition, the collar is one of the important details, but, in my opinion, he is also the most difficult in the sewing of the ordinary shirt. Namely, his complexity lies in the fact that it must be sewed to a millimeter symmetrical and perfectly beautiful. Immediately I will say that one description you can hardly succeed and I highly recommend seeing my video along the harvesting of a shirt collar. In sewing, you must need a visual example of sewing:

How to choose a sickle and correctly duplicate the collar.

Very important for the beauty of the collar has a chipper (doubles) - duplicating material, which gives the shape and hardness of the collar .Dublerin is the modern name of the adhesive on a tissue basis. Many years ago, when I studied to sew, then my teacher called this adhesive cherryanka, so this is the usual name for me. Serpenta should not be too tough or too soft. For her choice, I recommend to take a finished shirt from such a fabric and try to try her collar well, paying attention to his hardness. Approximately the same hardness you need to choose adhesive for your shirt. You can ask the store with consultants, but in this case they need to show a sample of your fabric. With each collar sewn with you, you will have your own experience and you can already choose it yourself.

Before you start to duplicate on the flap, pick the desired iron temperature. Sherryanka "pasted" to the cloth with an iron with a humidifier and a press of his body on the iron. You can additionally sprinkle with water sickle. It's good to press iron with your weight. The serpent must be glued very well.

Curra collar.

Even before opening the shirts, you need to check your patterns. Combine the shelf and half the back with a place of contour 1/2 racks on the collar and make sure that the collar (while its rack) matches the neck.

Or you can draw the collar after the shoulder and planks are processed on the shelves. Then measure the neck and under its size to carve collar. Punches on the neck of the shirt to do at 0.7 cm, and in detail for the collar of 1 cm.

Craw details:

There must be 4 details.

2 parts - rack, of them duplicated with sickle 1 part (it will be the front part)

2 parts - the main part of the collar (flying) and of which 1 part is duplicated with sickle (face).

To duplicate the sickle linen strictly by pattern, without letters.

Tailoring (blank) collar.

1. On the pattern, mark the place for the loop and buttons on the duplicate rack.

2. On the same part, to subjugate the rack feeding and make a fixed line by 0.7 cm.

3. Connect the front side inside 2 parts for the main part of the collar (flying part). For the carp and make a connecting line on the typewriter (sty).

4. Carry out the corners and twist.

5. Shot on the front side (duplicated) by 0.1 mm

6. Start one line of the rack, paving honey with them the main part of the collar (between the marked labels for the loop and buttons).

The workpiece of the collar on the rack for the shirt is ready.

Sew (swing) collar in the neck of the shirt (shirts). When the collar is tuned, we make a machine line on the collar. Not in the neck!
