Geometric carving on wood-old artistic craft. She was decorated with casual homemade utensils, furniture. The decor is created on the basis of a simple geometric pattern, but it looks extremely beautiful.
Starting with simple ornaments. Give a geometric thread lesson on a cutting board. The result will be like this:
We will need only 2 knives for wood thread: knife feather and a triangular knife jamb, as well as a circular, pencil and a ruler:
A knife feather is used to cut the long-elongated slots of the type of petal or long groove, as well as small narrow slots. A knife-joint triangle is needed mainly for the slot of triangular forms of different configurations, and is also used to teething long straight lines. Wood thread knives should be sharp and convenient to be placed in hand.
At the beginning it is necessary to make a sketch of the pattern on the board. You can apply it with a circulation and a ruler, and you can take ready-made patterns of threads printed on paper and transfer to the board using a copy-to-board:
We start the thread from cutting petals:
During the thread, the thumb is tightly pressed against the plank, and the top joint of the index finger should be slightly touching the surface. So you can adjust the depth of the knife to the tree and the angle of inclination. And the thumb will help smoothly move the blade. After the slot, at an angle in one direction we turn the board and cut through the other hand:
At the same time, the chips should have a rope - this is a sign of a sharp tool. Periodically squeeze the tool. I do it about a piece of skin with paste gay:
Now cut the triangle with a knife-jamb. The heel, at an angle of about 45 degrees, we cut the tool into the tree, without bringing to the edges of the drawing. We do so from three sides so that our slots at an angle were shaked together and the sliced slicer in the form of a pyramid dropped:
We clean the fact that it was not immediately able to cut to the face to be smooth and clean.
Cut the grooves and triangles around the perimeter for the same principle. After the end of the work, we alternate all the sandpaper, the board can be treated with natural impregnation. Everything! Our cutting board is decorated.
