I have long been with pleasure I use the application in my works. If you look at my work (button in the right panel of Lökina Loskutka's blog), you will understand my love for her. I studied to make the application I am on the Internet. There are many wonderful master classes that helped me in the development of this technique. Over time, I developed my own method that seems to me simple and affordable.
For machine applications you need:
- Teflon rug for appliqués;
- tracing;
- pencil;
- scissors for paper and scissors for tanty applications (sharp tips);
- Iron;
- glue cobweb;
- Fabric (Loskutka);
Start?!
We take a sketch of the future applique. I have Owl on the branch.
We translate the image on the tracker with a pencil, and we attach a packer with a pattern over a Teflon Rug with a painted scotch.
We prepare the loskutka tissue-puncturing using an glue cob iron. You can see the shiny side of the adhesive web.
Transfer from sketch Detail of owls. In this case, the abdomen. We will particularly make a reservation that it is necessary to determine in your particular case, which item will be on top, and what is the bottom (overlapping each other). At the place where the overlapping part is overlapping, add a small allowance on the lower part. In my case, this is the place of contact of the abdomen with the eyes of owls and the wing (large on the right in the picture). In this place, I made a small allowance on the trouser.
I always begin to make an applique from the largest details. It helps me with the definition of color decisions of the application.
I cut the part for paper scissors with a small (arbitrary) allowance. Fasten the carved part to the desired (cocked) piece of fabric (to the front side) and cut the tissue with a pencil contour.
I remove the fastening pins and, focusing on the drawing on the flooring, cursing the item with an iron on the Teflon rug.
Next, proceed to your head and wings. I will show a photo. I think everything is clear ...
Ready !!! Simply and easily! Now under the machine ... But about that another time.
