Many in the kitchen have such a stand for knives. More often she is wooden. It seems so beautiful, but over time it is contaminated and loses its attractiveness. The solution is very simple - repaint and apply decoupage. Let's proceed.
First you need to clean the stand with sandpaper. Removing old dirt and fat.
Ground. To do this, I use the white water paint (if you wish, you can add a pigment of the desired color to it).
Cover with a foam rubber in one layer (two layers will be bright white, but I wanted aged effect).
Choose a napkin (or decapagible card). Cut the desired fragment.
With the help of acrylic glue, we glue the napkin (I have a construction varnish, acrylic facade). Dried (you can speed the hairdryer). Similarly and the second side.
Choose a stamp, stamped pad (from scrapbooking). We apply a drawing. Let dry. Fix with varnish. It is better to apply a foam rubber so as not to lubricate the drawing.
Dry and here is the result.
Now my favorite process! We take a dumb acrylic paint, a drop of water and a rigid brush. Sink at first one, then another color. Beauty!

It seemed to me this color very bright, I was still white on top. Frequently lacquer. 2-3 layers of acrylic or 1 layer of vitreous varnish.
We take a silicone form for plastic. Fill with glue from the hot pistol. After a couple of minutes you have a wonderful detail of the decor.

After the final drying, we glue the decor (I have a piece of linen lace, twine, metal butterfly, beads, and our thermoclause decor). And admire!
