Briton grows furniture

Anonim

The owner of the British company Full Grown Gavin Manro came up with an unconventional method of producing wooden furniture. He grows it.

The first stage lies in planting young trees. Then the branches and trunks of the trees are mechanically bent to the desired form. The branches are vaccinated to each other. In order for the desired end element (for example, a chair) was solid, without additional connecting elements.

After that, it remains to wait until the tree will grow a little.

The process takes several years - from 4 to 8 - depending on the type of wood.

Now approximately 400 pieces of furniture are grown on the furniture farm in Devonshire. The first part of the "living" chairs is expected to mid-2017.
