Furniture to the house is purchased for a long time. And sometimes it is not possible to change the interior, buying a new one ... but! But there is an opportunity to modify the old one, and without unrecognizability.
In this MK I will present the reincarnation of my old favorite chest.
To work, we will need:
- The paint interior acrylic three tones of the same color: 1. The main, 2. on a couple of tones is lighter main and 3. for several tones is darker main;
- Aqua varnish silky-matte colorless;
- roller and bath;
- a set of brushes of different sizes;
- wet wipes;
- Nulletine skar;
- Means for degreasing surface (I used alcohol).
I'll show you that and what happened:

Let's proceed.
Here is our darling and kinded chest of drawers:
After reversing all the contents, dismantle the handles.
We take a skirt and without fanaticism, go through the surface:
Then defathem surface:
We proceed to painting. Large surfaces include roller, so it turns out evenly and consumption less.
The layer should be thin so that there were no herds:
What failed the roller tear up with a brush:
This is how the work looks like after the first layer:
Someone can enjoy and so, then we skip the remaining stages with painting and cover with varnish.
If you want something else ... Create further.
Covered by the second layer of paint:
And at this stage you can go to the lacquer, but we will go further.
Paint is entering the work at number 2, the one is brighter for a couple of tones the main one.
Take a wide flat brush (necessarily dry):
Carry a brush in the selected directions on the surface, trying to avoid the same areas,
That is, do not spend twice one and the same place.
By this we achieve the appearance of the stripes without painting the primary color:
Nothing if it turns out not exactly exactly, it's hand!
Let's wait when it gets dry and take over the third paint, while changing the brush to the finest in the set.
Draw the depressions on the surface, thereby enhanced the effect of volume.
Drawing is too cut, so we will make a decisive.
It is possible to grow with a brush or a damp cloth moistened in the paint of the primary color, as in the photo below:
Here is an intermediate stage on which you can see, the upper boxes are drawn, and the bottom no:
If after drying, you will seem pale, you can firm and make a barrel.
By the way, the advantage of the paint chosen by me is the ability to mix with the previous layer even after drying.
The next stage, it is the final - lacquer coating. We apply the lacquer as well as the main paint with roller and edit the inaccessible roller with a brush area of suitable size.
That's ready, our new old chest!
I really liked working with a matte-silky varnish, such a surface is obtained .....
And in the opinion and to the touch ... Such a slightly uneven, but pleasant ... in a word silky matte :)
Return to the place of the handle and admire:
Now you can return things to place. By the way, an excellent reason to clean up and get rid of unnecessary!
One chest of business, I did not end, the furniture in my hallway was transformed all :)
The room is small, the photo is not easy without capturing more "old" doors and unfinished walls :)

In conclusion I want to share the joy from the use of modern materials almost odor,

In addition, paint and varnish quickly dry, which allows you to make small breaks between the stages.
And if you work at the same time over several furniture items, then for the 24 hours that we specified by me ...
