Very soon, I will have a graduation evening and I decided to make a pugyer's polymer clay for your future dress, and at the same time take a picture of their creation stages and make your first master class.
I think this master class will be quite simple, so even those who have never been painted from plastics will be able to make such buttons.
In addition, to create butchers will require a minimum of tools and materials, namely:
- polymer clay of two contrasting colors. My dress will be a light denim color, so I chose a dark blue soft software for buttons (35) and the usual white sonnet. But you can experiment by choosing other colors);
- A wide sharp blade (a dump knife is also suitable, but I personally use a concealed blade from a feed set);
- any tool or pencil, the opposite end of which you can make a deepening on a button;
- Dumb awl.
Well, now, in fact, let's start creating buttons!
1. First knead the clay, mix a little dark blue firma with white to get a "denim" shade.
2. Now proceed to the creation of a flower cane. I think everything will be understood here without my comments:
Ready round flower cane. But so that the flowers do not flatter in the general pattern, you need to make it square. For this, add a little clay in the corners:
3. Now the flower cane can be pulled out and cut into equal pieces:
4. With this "braid" with a floral pattern, we turn around the core of canes from darker clay:
5. Now is the entire cane. I pull it out and cut a wide blade on equal "slices":
Do not be sad if the blanks for buttons did not get round. As you can see, even my cane does not want to cut into a circle, and this is despite the fact that it was lying in the refrigerator for a long time.
6. Pugovka is almost ready! It remains only to give them a form (by the way, they do not have to be round, you can enable fantasy), make a deepening in the center and pierce a pair of holes with a selection:
7. Now it remains only to bake buttons.
I baked them 15 minutes in the oven at a temperature of 130 degrees, and then stood in a glass with cold water.
If the buttons remained dust or fingerprints, then they need to poll a little.
