Turkey, under the village of Derinka, there is a large underground city. It is about 3,000 years old, and there is still no clarity who built it.
Caves showed quite by chance when in 1963 one of the villagers started repairs in his house and, having broken the wall, saw a room and a passage to her, leading to an underground labyrinth.
In the city, which goes deep into 80 meters could live up to 20 thousand people.
Everything is cleverly arranged for life: there are ventilation mines, residential neighborhoods, stalls for livestock, kitchen with furnaces, canteens, wine cellar, barns, schools, shops, temples and cemeteries.
There were even winery with a wine press.
Scientists believe that the city leaves much deeper underground.
Tourists are allowed only into the small part of the city, where the labyrinths are fenced so that no one gets lost.
The entrances in the tunnels overlapped with stone wheels-doors and defended the settlement from enemies
Even if the enemy overcame them, he could hardly manage to get back to the surface without knowledge of secret moves and a labyrinth plan.
