Today I want to show you some examples of work, how can you combine natural stones and polymer clay.
I am asked, but what if there is no hole in the stone, how to wear it? Here I decided to share my thoughts and considerations.
Once there was a few lit agates, the beauty of amazing, but without holes or devices, so that you can immediately wear them on a taper or chain. For Bail, I did not want to go to the store, I wanted to create! Hand was a polymer clay, and I decided to experiment.
I didn't have any special skills to work with a polymer clay. I really wanted to create a catalon sooner.
I covered them with varnish ("IDEA" medium universal, vitreous), although, in this case, you can do without it:
And then I was presented with Jashem and turquoise and, too, without drilled holes. And I decided to use more paint in the works, as it was, to be honest, I didn't want to buy additional clay colors, and they were not always in the nearest needlework store. For the houses were kept a huge supply of acrylic paints (for artistic works), the most ordinary, companies "Gamma".
In the use of paint there is an advantage: you can win the relief and roughness of the surface of the coast, but there is a minus: it is necessary to get a product with a varnish, otherwise from contact with skin or clothing, with sock, paint will come down:
