For this self-made, we will need:
- Trim Rails
- Corner grinding machine
- Pipe profile
- Welding machine
First of all, it is necessary to fix the rail in the vice and cut off from it the trim with a thickness of about 10 cm.
Next, we upgrade the shape of the workpiece with the help of the ESM, as in the photo below.
Next, we already have a blank, remotely resembling an ax. We heat up with the help of the ears part to give a "wedge-shaped" alcohol.
At this stage, you can already move to the primary sharpening of the blade of our ax.
Further, you should attach to the ax, which is proposed to be made from the profile tube. We draw your attention to the fact that the pipe should be "welded" and inside and outside.
We clean the welds and grind with ush.
Our ax is almost ready. It remains only to produce final grinding.
For greater convenience, when working, we propose to arrange with a shrink rubber. Thus, the handle will reliably "sit" in hand and will decrease the chance of its slip.
So we got a convenient ax from ordinary rails.
