The girl under the nickname of Madebywoodhand after the end of the Pratt Institute decided to start his business. She became interested in the idea of building houses on a tree, but there was no money for the materials, then she just began to collect old boards throughout New York. The master was able to collect a sufficient amount of material, but the winter came here, and her project had to postpone. From boredom, the girl began to make the countertops whose design soon brought real success.
At the time of winter, the girl had to forget about the construction of houses on the tree, but from the remaining sawn timber, she began to make countertops with an original mosaic. One company noticed her work and made a good order. On wooden mosaic, the girl inspired mainly patchwork sewing technique.
The girl managed to give a lot of boards from all over New York
So many boards manage to collect in one day
From these boards girl and decided to collect something original
Before the completion of the table, she did not even imagine that in the end she would succeed.
She began to get interesting mosaics from various shades of wood
Later, the girl realized that the main inspiration of her craft was the patchwork technique of sewing, those blankets that she were still in childhood
This mosaic of oak and maple pallets is assembled according to the "Dresden Plate" like.
This pattern can be often seen on patchwork blankets. The countertop is made of pine and maple pallets.
The same pattern, but from oak pallets.
The girl now lives in Brooklyn, but herself from Birmingham, Alabama, so does not forget about his traditions and southern roots
Now the master is already working on herself, but comes to the future design of countertops more consciously, it even saddened, because it no longer feels the ease and freedom of creativity. Everyone has a few more new works:
