Glass and fire!

Anonim

Stained glass fascinated me from childhood. I looked at the chandeliers, vases, beads, fragments found on the seashore. But nothing could be done with them - I did not know how to cut the glass, but to melt, I could not even think ...

During my studies, I was lucky to go to Italy, and then the world turned over! I have long and carefully considered the stained glass catholic cathedrals of Florence and Siena ... This is the most beautiful thing that I could see from the glass! And then I came to Venice ... That's where the eyes felt completely! Colored beads, figures, Millefiori. I went around every corner, and the island of Murano also visited.

Home returned with a bunch of Muranian beads, and most importantly - with a dream, which was realized only in 3 years! But after all, it was carried out :) Now I will cry a lot of glass beads and collect decorations from them, and very happy to do your favorite thing.

But one Muranian glass turned out to be little. And I took the bottles! I was captured by the ideas of environmentally friendly resykling, and the fact that from "garbage" can be made very original souvenirs.

A furnace designed to roasting beads, perfectly suitable for comprehension of various glass strokes. Before you melt a bottle, you need to clean it from the label and glue, rub the glass to the glass, prepare the loop, for which the souvenir can be hung, and send it to the oven! 900 with more degrees - and after a few hours the bottle is blown away and folded in half :)

Favorite bottles are very nice to decorate the walls in both the kitchen and the bar, the restaurant. And you can also turn on the temperature smaller, and make a slightly curved stylish vase from the bottle!

Glass - the material is beautiful, but "with character"! Sometimes it is glass that decides, how he is to lie or split, but you only stay to help the material, or do not interfere :)
