Autumn with her rains and puddles finally entered their rights, and before us again the question arises, how to maintain the hallway dry, and the shoes are clean. This time we decided not to make a selection of advice and ideas, especially since last year's material on how to store shoes in the hallway in the offseason remains relevant. Instead, we share a master class with you to create an autumn rug with your own hands.
You will need:
- A pair of cedar or other boards 25x150x3000 mm.
- Roulette.
- Saw (cutting machine).
- Drill for 6 mm.
- Drill.
- Sandpaper P120.
- Jute cord.
- Wood protective oil for outdoor work.
- Woolen fabric or tampon for oil applying.
Step 1. Cut the boards
Split 25 mm thick boards on the rails of the same width. Then cut them into 40 times with a length of 120 mm, 35 - a length of 300 mm, 6 - a length of 400 mm and one - length of 1300 mm.
Step 2. Spread the rails to the pattern
To verify that you have all the necessary details, fold the rails to the future rug. Focus on the photo below. The longest plank will be the base. The outer circle consists of 120 mm parts, each third of which is replaced with a part of 300 mm. The inner circle consists of 300 mm details, each third of which, in turn, is replaced with a part of 400 mm.
Step 3. Mark and drill holes
Make on the smallest parts of the opening 25 mm from the ends. In the middle parts for an external circle (21 pcs.) Do the holes in 25 and 100 mm from the ends. In the middle parts for the inner circle (14 pcs.) Do the holes in 25 mm and 100 mm from one end and 25 mm from the other end. In long items, make four holes: 25 mm and 100 mm from one end and 25 and 125 mm from the other. In the longest, the basic part is drilled by a hole in 25 mm, 100 mm, 200 mm, 275 mm, 550 mm from each end (only 12 holes).
In order for the case to move faster, the necessary holes can be placed only on one of the details of each type, and then use them as a template, resting the racks of the same type.
Step 4. Severy details
Collect each detail so as to smooth the sharp edges and get rid of sticking fibers. So on the rug can be happy with barefoot.Step 5. Collect the rug on the cord
Cut from the jot jute six long cords, tie the nodules at their ends and insert into six holes in the base rail. In order, put the parts on the laces: the average external part, two small external, medium inner, medium exterior, two small external, medium inner, medium external, two small external, long internal. Repeat the pattern until the details are run. Secure the cords, traveled them into the hole in the base part.
Please note: Long items must be addressed to the center end, on which the holes are drilled at a distance of 25 mm and 125 mm.
Step 6. Protect wood
Generously cover each detail with protective oil and dry as much as indicated in the instructions. You can apply a second layer of oil.
Please note: soak the details of the oil stands immediately after they are ground. An option with impregnation of the already assembled rug - for those who can't wait to see it collected.
