Some time ago I returned to the house in which he grown. There was a lot of old furniture in the house. This furniture has been perfectly preserved, suited me functionally, but had a completely outdated look. I decided to conduct an experiment. Its turned out to be so impressive that later I made a lot of different furniture in this technique.
It all started with the old wall ...

Everything is very simple, true!
one. We will need the following tools and materials:
1) White spirit and cloth. I prefer White Spirit Tikkurila, it does not smell so much like others.
2) Narrow greasy tape, knife, tassels, paint cuvette.
3) Alkyd primer on smooth surfaces. I have it OTEX Tikkurila.
4) White building paint. I have this Euro 7 Tikkurila.
5) Decorative paints:
Pearl paint with sand monaco Ambiance De France collection of Senideco, Palace and Zarine colors; Parliamentary paint Festival Ambiance De France Collection of Senideco, Color Paradise.
6) Varnish. I had a dufa aqua-parkettlack.
2. We put the hardware with scotch. Cut the knife on both sides. You will do it or not, depends on your idea, accessories can be painted.
3. Perhaps the most fundamental thing in this work is: lacquer to shoot or handle the skin surface is not necessary !!! I had a mirror lacquer of a dark red color, it was unreal with a lacquer with her.
Just a cloth moistened in White Spirit, process the entire surface with which we will work, in my case, is the entire outer side of the wall, including the doors' ends and horizontal surfaces.
four. Covered the entire surface of the wall of the primer, including the doors of the door and the wall itself, and horizontal sections. Crates remove the outer surface, including ends separately.
I have one layer of primer. Through it shines while dark varnish. This primer will provide us with staining strength, because it is well kept paint even on mirror and tiled surfaces. Let the primer dry well.
The photo is ground the inner surface of the door, which, with the exception of accessories, is the same as an external one.
five. We cover the entire surface of the wall of the paint, is completely similar to how it was covered with primer, including all ends and horizontal surfaces. Every layer let dry. This is the most time consuming part of the work. I already have three layers of paint. Only after applying the three layers, the wall has become truly white. I do a grinding of the interlayer only on horizontal surfaces, the paint applied like this: one layer working with a brush horizontally, another vertical, etc.
6. Finally, decorative coating. Horizontal surfaces are applied Festival paint in two layers with interlayer drying. It turns out beautiful with a pearl reflever coating.
On the doors we apply paint like this:
Inner square, limited accessories: Paint with sand Monaco Color Palace, we work wide flat brush, causing paint in different directions.
What remains outside the accessories, paint paint with the sand Monaco color zarine, it is also light, but a little in yellowness, it will give an extra game of light. Brush We are working in paint in different directions.
Color the doors and boxes, as well as the ends of the wall itself.
After everything is good, we applied varnish on the horizontal surfaces, only on horizontal, it is for greater protection.
Tinging glass. I toned the ribbed round glasses with a bronze metallic to make them less transparent. We free accessories from Scotch (also surprisingly labor-intensive process).
The work is done. You can admire.
I must say, my cat is also checking the wall, and my work on the strength is almost every day, climbing the door to the very top. Everything remains in perfect order for almost two years.
In the same way I made chairs, a coffee table and a foot for TV. All this will definitely show the following MK.
