Country alterations or second life of the board

Anonim

I want to share my experience in the alteration of old furniture. So the circumstances are that the vacation I had to spend my sister at the cottage. And to spend it fruitful, creatively and with benefit for business, I grabbed everything that I need for alteration of her furniture. Previously drove to her to the country, found what to do to me - not to redo. A lot of furniture, so that much is all the furniture in a terrible state and all of her need to redo. On the one hand, I was delighted: it will do what to do, and on the other hand, I will have time to remake all this magnificence for 10 days. Looking ahead, I will say: I managed!

It drove in advance to the store "Lerua", bought everything for alterations, which was already ready, which was not enough to buy.

So, we will need:

- acrylic glue;

- white acrylic paint;

- the color of different colors;

- Acrylic primer;

- Metallic mesh fabric, gold;

- border wallpaper;

- Synthetic brush (with a blue handle);

- Roller (for recalling wallpaper);

- screwdriver;

- decor of foam;

- Gold acrylic paint;

- line;

- Stationery knife or scissors.

Here's how the servant looked:

1. We unscrew the doors and everything is carefully mine with detergents. Envy.

2. We take the sandpaper (large) and begin to raise the places that you decided to remake or repaint. I decided the inner walls only to cover with varnish by 2 times, so I did not whine them. Eat with a brush, wipe the damp cloth, dried. Further covering the primer 2 times and wait when everything is dry.

3. After drying the primer, we take sandpaper and begin to count and smooth. We clean without fanatism, we need to achieve a smooth surface. Checking your palm: if smooth and not cling to nothing, finish and go to another action. We divor the white acrylic paint with a kelper and achieve the color you need. I external side walls painted the lilac paint, and for interior decoration and shelves, I prepared the paint of the khaki color or olive. I painted on 2 layers. The ends of the shelves and the contour of the cabinet, I painted golden + silver acrylic paint. It covered everything on 3 layers acrylic varnish, and the doors per layer. I was going to decorate them, so that one layer would be enough.

That's what happened:

4. On the doors, I decided to stick a border and the grid.

I measured the width and height on all the doors and chopped the border, which planned to stick the door around the perimeter. The ends cut under 45 degrees, the grid cut 1 cm less on all sides.

5. Apply the glue PVA with a brush on the door, we apply abundantly and put the grid, roll up with your hands, excess glue rod rods. Then the glue is applied to the curb and glue it. The border must go about 1 cm on the grid. Roll into it with a roller or cloth to someone as more convenient, kicking out all the air from under it. We put on drying 15 hours.

That's what happened:

6. When everything is dry, we need to cut the brands of the border, if any. Take the stationery knife and gently cut. I want to apologize to my manicure. I can not work in gloves.

Like this:

7. Holes under the key, I painted the gold acrylic paint.

8. Coating the doors for another 2 layer acrylic lacquer with interlayer drying.

9. On the border, the grid - border, I decided to stick inexpensive I would say cheap decor. Painted it under gold acrylic paint and stuck to super glue "Master Klyaii". She sustained 4-5 hours and caused the final layer (already fifth) acrylic varnish.

That's what happened:

10. When finally everything dried fastened the doors.

IOW What happened to me:

I apologize for not quite high-quality pictures. The veranda on which the wardrobe stands is very narrow, so it was not very convenient to photograph.

I will be very glad if someone I inspired to alterations. It's great to look at the result of your works, and if this creation also likes someone, you get a full life charge of energy.

My alteration really liked my sister, maybe, of course, she and Lukavil? :)

Thank you for your attention, creative inspiration and joyful days!
