I declare with all the responsibility that Gerdan is a unique decoration. I will not go into his history - you can find it on the Internet. I just say that the word it came to us from Ukraine, and what a comrade introduced him to use among the masters-needlewomans - I unknow me.
The meaning of this does not change. Universal decoration. Beauties wear it with a traditional costume, and with a modern dress. A huge color gamut offered by the manufacturers of beads allows you to create chic, rich products for every taste. I suggest and you do something similar.
I prepared a step-by-step master class on weaving I liked me Gerdan. For the scheme, thank the Internet and a wonderful master Maria Astafyev.
Immediately I will say that I do my hedans not on the machine, like most bead amateurs: it seems rather hard to me. I love when the decoration flows and lies on the chest as a native one. Therefore, I use technique, imitating machine weaving. In my opinion, in it only one minus - it requires more time on weaving. But the rest is solid advantages. Even the flaws in the size of the beads are hidden and the canvas turns out to be smooth. In addition, you do not need to hide a bunch of threads that remain from the machine. We will see everything yourself. Photos will be a lot - I tried to show the technique itself as much as possible.
So, let's begin.
Materials
- Czech beads Preciosa Ornella - I use only it: does not hide, does not fade, smooth and bright. If you can buy Japanese Toho or Miyuki, it is very good. But the Chinese and Taiwanese production do not even consider - crooked, space and poor quality;
- Thread - for your work I prefer the viscose. This Gerdan is assembled on the firing of the company "Gamma", No. 3094;
- The needle for beads - the usual will not suit, as it will be necessary to eat a needle several times with a thread through a tiny hole in the beads;
- scissors;
- Beads to the tone for the design of the suspension (I have black, 21 pieces).
Colors used in weaving:
- the black;
- cherry;
- Orange;
- beige;
- yellow;
- green;
- red;
- white.
Due to the large number of bead consumption small. I bought 30 g of each color - in the end, there is enough for another Gean. But still I advise you to take with a margin.

Our scheme:
1. Beads lay out on a soft fabric: it is not rolled, and it is convenient enough to ride it. When weaving the central part of Gerdan, I begin to work with the widest part, but not from the first of its series, but from the second. Due to this canvas alignment in the process of weaving, and insured against tugging.
In the photo: I fix the first bead on the thread. Stayed - and passed through Beerin again. The nodules are not needed: enough and this, but in the future it will be convenient to adjust the length of the row.
Important: Do not fasten the beer at the very end of the thread, leave the "tail", 15-20 cm.
2. When a row is typed, on the needle we ride the first bisper of the next row and introduce E in the last previous one. The photo shows how the needle should pass.
3. They brought the needle from the yellow bisper and spend in orange, as shown in the photo. The thread pulled up, but do not tighten a row strongly - let the beads are better chatting a little than they will be pulled. Tightening too much later, on the very first bearer.
4. We ride the next bisper of the row. I do a needle in the bead of the previous row, which is under it. They brought and spent again in black - if you look through the photo, the needle will go upwards. So, as in the photo.
5. That's how the first two rows will look like. The principle of weaving the second row is maintained throughout the work - this is the technique of imitation of weaving.
If necessary, the thread of the base in the first row can now be slightly tightened. The third and subsequent rows weave in the same way (the beginning of the third - in the photo).
6. Separately - about nodules. Unlike machine weaver, manual does not require a large amount of threads, and work is carried out on one. It is quite natural that the working thread is early or later ends. In general, the length of the thread is recommended for such a weaving is not more than 40-50 cm - it will not be confused and interfered and quite convenient to work.
The thread needs to build up when the tip remains about 15 cm. The nodule is the most common, but it needs to be tightened with pleasure, and the remainder of the thread is not close, but leaving a millimeter. When working it does not prevent this (Czech beads have quite large holes, so that the nodule slip through them), and insulates the weaving from the rupture.
Hide the nodules easily: when weaving, drag it into one of the beads, or disguise in weaving. Upon completion of work, it can be bought by the tip of a hot needle.
7. That's how the rectangle of the central part will look like.
Please note: on top of the weaving begins with a second row of a wide area on which there are no grazing. Below this series is.
8. It is now bending. Before you start a new row, you need to withdraw the needle from the last bisper of the completed series and stretch immediately through two bispers of the previous one. And then - from the bottom, in the penultimate bead (yellow). According to the result, the needle will turn out where it is necessary: the outbreak will be done, and then you can continue weaving according to the scheme (photo).

9. After all the grades, this corner will turn out. We spend the thread inside Gerdan, returning to several rows. We cling to the needle thread of the arsenic and they tie simple nodules on them. We again spend a thread through any row, and another nodule. His hide, we take the needle, and cut a thread. The lower row is completed.
Now you need to assemble the top. The thread is fastened in the body of Gerdan (again nodules, yes, yes) and excreted from any extreme beads of the very first row. First, a number of without outstanding are increasing, which, at the beginning of weaving, we missed, and only the following bending. All according to the scheme, the principle of weaving the same.
In the photo is a ready-made central element of Gerdan. Width 7 cm, length 14 cm.
10. And this is the next element. On the diagram it is to the right of the central one. Weaving begins (and continues) the same, from the second row of the widest part. I started below. Such elements (according to the result will turn out a strip of 3.5 width and a length of almost 30.5 cm) should be two.
Please note: the derivation according to the scheme is carried out differently: only on one side of the strip, forming the SCOS, from above - on both sides. Weaving end when 4 beads remain in the row: black, two orange, black.
11. In the photo, three basic elements from which Geroid will be collected. It remains only to connect the long strips "jumper", which will lie on the neck. She woves only 4 bispers: this is enough for Gerdan to wear and not be afraid that he jumps or break. In addition, it is convenient: the weight of the finished decoration is about 50 g, and in a wider strip on the neck there is no need. I have a "jumper" length is 20 cm, you can make anyone for yourself.
Please note: the lower parts of the strips should lie in the same way as in the photo. When weaving, consider this so that it does not work out the details in the finished work.
12. Now you can proceed to the connection of parts beaded low. Put them as I have in the photo, check again, whether the strips of the "jumper" are connected correctly. I pay attention to it, because herself was buried at twisting a couple of times: it was madly a sorry to dissolve the work.
The thread is attached in the body strips and is derived from the extreme black bead. There is beads - the order is arbitrary, but it repeats more than once. You can use the same as me, or come up with something your own. The needle is then entered into the beerin on the central element (in the photo on the right it can be seen) and returns through low upwards, to the beginning.
Watch the needle to go through all the beads and did not get out of the way out of the general range.
The needle is then pulled through several beads and is already excreted from the extreme refisrer of the third row, since it is still low in Gerdan in a row: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, then 10 and 11 omit (the number of rows does not allow), and further 12, 14, 16, 18, 20. Pay attention to the tension of the thread: it must lie freely enough to be low in the end beautifully lying. In the same way, we attach to the center and the second strip.
13. But this will look like pendants on the central element. The order is arbitrary, but it is better to observe the same color gamut as on connecting low. The thread fixed in the body of the element, brought out of the first extreme beads, scored bispers, a bead, another beerin ... and returned back by entering the needle in Bead. And up, to the beginning of the lowest. As a result, the suspension will be fixed. Do not tighten: it should hang freely.
And that's what we did in the end.
In fact, the options for weaving Gerdan are a lot. Even with this, it was possible to experiment and connect strips and the central part directly, and not low. Or do not make the upper "jumper", and instead weave one long strip instead. In a word, Flight Flight is not limited.
