In winter, I also want to ride a bike. And just a roller machine or exercise bike will help you in this endeavor. In sports stores you can find a variety of models. But we will try to make a similar design by their own, focusing on the advice of foreign masters.
Step 1: Materials
- PVC tubes by 7.5 cm with a diameter and 46 cm long (3 pcs.).
- Rope (2.5 m).
- 6 or more bearings from skateboard or ball bearings.
- Steel beam Long 53 cm (3 pcs.).
- Plywood.
- Screws.
- Wood for frame.
- Anti-slip tape.
Step 2: Measurements
In the picture, all sizes are given in inches. It is not necessary to follow the figures presented. It is enough to consider that the wheels of the bicycle must be on the corresponding rollers. Moreover, the rear wheel is based on 2 rollers at once.
Step 3: Rolers
PVC tubes are perfectly suitable as rollers.

Step 4: Bearings
Bearings from a skateboard installed in wooden wheels. Insert the PVC tube between 2 such disks to get a roll-up design.
You will have to independently cut the discs from plywood and make 2 recesses for screws in them (see photo 2). With the help of enlarged washers, you need to fix the position of the bearings.
Step 5: Frame
It consists of 2 oblong wooden platforms.
Step 6: Communication
To connect the frame and roller, you need to sew a driving belt. To do this, you can use the rope, rubber tape or something else.
The central and front wheel must be interconnected. The main thing is to create tension. Also, the belt should not slip out from under the roller.
Step 7: Assembly
Focusing on the photo, collect the roller machine with your own hands. We carry out the result with pictures.
