Step 1. Estate the upholstery fabric face down, put a sintepon on it, then the porolon and, finally, the board.

Step 2. Wrap the resulting sandwich, tightly pulling the fabric. Make sure that the foam rubber does not move relative to the board. So you will understand what size of the sections of the fabric you need to cover every detail of the head of the head. In this case, it turned out to be sufficiently segments of a width of 45 cm.

Step 3. Hold each board. To do this, first assemble a sandwich, as in the step above, then fasten the fabric to the stapler on one side, straighten, stretch well and secure on the other side.

Step 4. Bend corners, as in the case of gift packaging, and secure them too. Watch that folds do not appear on the front side. But about the reverse you can not care hard: the main thing is that the brackets keep the fabric, and already carefully or not, no one will ever know.

2. Add thickness

The shelf from the top end is an optional headboard element, but it will separate it from the wall and will make a solid, besides, you can put pictures or books.
