In the farm, nothing disappears - even a newspaper who taught their paper and cardboard

I do not disappear in the farm. Even newspapers that taught their paper and cardboard. I use them as a mulch, which protects from the germination of weeds and eliminates me from a musting bed.

There is another "side effect" from newspapers and cardboard - moisture remains under them for a long time, which is of great importance in the bake.

Before putting them on the prepared beds, I soak the newspapers in water, and then in wet laying in five layers to the ground. It is most convenient to do this, soaking each newspaper separately in a bucket with water.

When the newspapers are decomposed, I spray them on top of a small layer of soil (otherwise they dry and flew), and then with the help of a garden knife, holes for planting seedlings of tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, onions, etc. are made. Through a thick layer of newspapers, the sun does not penetrate, and weed shoots that appeared under the newspapers die. And those kids who appear in the upper layer of soil are easily removed.

Newspapers as mulch can be used for annual crops, since they are completely decomposed by autumn. For perennials, the newspaper can be replaced with cardboard, it decomposes in the soil slower.
