Being Lieutenant, I commanded the platoon of communication and radio engineering software at one of the military airfields of our immense homeland. There were many stories with this connection, I will tell one of those remembered. The case was early in spring (this is an important circumstance). In one of the divisions, a meteorological service, regularly refused the phone. Moreover, refused in the evening. Every morning, on a divorce, they complained to me. And every day I sent a telephonist to understand. The soldier came to the meteorological service, checked the phone, and for some reason he already worked. Heard, however, was so-so, but tolerant. Meteorologists, suspecting, gloomy thank telephonist, and in the evening the cycle began again.
A week later, the head of the meteleological service directly asked: "Are you spinning on a bubble?" And I, assuring him in my sincerity, began to understand seriously. The telephonist telephonists swear that they passed through the cable and all twists (sides of the joints of the wires) were checked. Hinted - they say, mysticism, Touch Lieutenant. But I remembered the words of the teacher: there are only two types of faults.
In the end, went on the wire itself. It turned out no mysticism. The cable was walking on the roof of the boxing of the fire team, the fighters were launched to drag the stairs to climb there, and in vain. There was another twist on the roof. One of the wires was normally connected, and the second - ripped and both ends were in the deepening, where the water was accumulated from the melting snow. In the afternoon, when the sun was shining, the water melted and through it, albeit with the interference, was communicated. And in the evening, when the sun came, the water in a puddle of a leather and the connection disappeared.
